I don't necessarily marry myself to politics where every single issue that doesn't go my way makes me miserable, but under the Trump administration, there was a lot of frustration and uncertainty and it was a bit stressful.

His COVID response was absolutely horrific and the fact that he retreated to his usual bullying style of trying to get people to do stuff for him was very stressful. It was a low in our history and unfortunately he didn't take it as serious and wanted to believe whatever garbage he felt like believing.

I wasn't a fan of how he coddled Kim Jung Un and Vladimir Putin while threatening to severe ties with NATO. Sure, he may be right that NATO doesn't pay it's fair share, but you also don't ****ing nuke it for that reason.

Those are a few things that were stressful to me during his term. So no I don't look forward to another Trump term.

Blumenauer: “President Biden should not be the Democratic presidential nominee”
    By Mariana Alfaro
Reporter on the breaking political news team

Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) came out in support of replacing President Biden on the Democratic ticket Wednesday, the latest elected Democrat to do so.

“The question before the country is whether the president should continue his candidacy for re-election. This is not just about extending his presidency but protecting democracy," said Blumenauer in a statement. “While this is a decision for the president and the first lady, I hope they will come to the conclusion that I and others have: President Biden should not be the Democratic presidential nominee."

Blumenauer, elected to Congress in 1996, is a senior member of the Ways and Means Committee and Budget Committee and the dean of the Oregon congressional delegation. He announced his own plans to retire at the end of this term.

Blumenauer praised Biden’s accomplishments as president in his statement, calling Biden “the most successful president in the last 50 years," but said that he believes “we will all be better served if the president steps aside as the Democratic nominee and manages a transition under his terms.”

“The next six months will be critical in the implementation of President Biden’s landmark accomplishments that will define his legacy for generations to come. He should devote his energy and undivided attention to issues of war and peace, the climate crisis, and rebuilding and renewing America. I stand willing to assist in any way possible on these critical efforts," said Blumenauer.

Opinion Democratic Sen. Peter Welch: Biden should withdraw for the good of the country
The stakes this November could not be higher.
    By Peter Welch
    July 10, 2024 at 7:04 p.m. EDT

I have great respect for President Biden. He saved our country from a tyrant. He is a man of uncommon decency. He cares deeply about our democracy. He has been one of the best presidents of our time.

But I, like folks across the country, am worried about November’s election. The stakes could not be higher. We cannot unsee President Biden’s disastrous debate performance. We cannot ignore or dismiss the valid questions raised since that night.

I understand why President Biden wants to run. He saved us from Donald Trump once and wants to do it again. But he needs to reassess whether he is the best candidate to do so. In my view, he is not.

For the good of the country, I’m calling on President Biden to withdraw from the race.

This is awesome! Great find! If only we'd known almost 40 years ago that she'd have an opinion and offered it to her husband as advice, he would have never beaten Trump in 2020. What a b****! How dare she offer an opinion. Next thing you know she'll seek to further her education and get a PHD in her 50s.

Absolutely earth-shattering news. THANKS FOR SHARING

Sometimes for the particularly cruel it can be enjoyable to watch a fish flounder on dry land. But I will admit that I completely forgot the whole Jeremiah Wright period. That certainly is a mark in favor of ignore.

Black voters are firmly standing behind Biden, that's for sure. Question: Do you believe what we saw at the debate was a stutter?

Honestly . . . . Trump was just as incoherent to me
The only difference was kind of a slur/stutter

Project 2025 - That isht is frightening.
Scotus Decision - That isht is frightening

No matter which on wins . . .that Scotus decision is a guillotine with the USA head in it
