Living in Houston, a generator is needed. If you don’t have one, it’s on you at this point. Remember this thread each time your wife complains to you about losing power in hurricane season. I’m the better prepared neighbor.
Thanks for the notice. Hopefully you’re allowing neighbors to charge their phones, laptops, etc. and allowing them also benefit from your ‘preparedness’.
Instead of trying to come off all self-righteous because you have a generator, maybe you're the one who didn't prepare, and married a woman who would complain when the power goes out. Been in Houston for over 60 yrs and have been through countless hurricanes and tropical storms and have never known any woman who complained about the power being out. You chose to marry this woman, "it's on you". So Remember this every time your wife b****es to you about something and you do what she says because she wears the pants in your family.
Actually I have a generator and have let my neighbors charge their phones and laptops. But sure I’ll be the loser.
You got access to the search bar, rook? https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/let’s-talk-generators.310450/
Good for OP. I commend him on being prepared and having a generator, but I am reminded of the South Park motorcycle episode.
We're going to need to bury a lot of lines and dramatically reconfigure the grid in the coming years. Need to, but probably won't. You're all on your own.
