This player can play. He has physicality, versatility and quickness on defense. He can be a backup at power forward
Extremely doubtful he can play PF..... Can't shoot. Perimeter defence his weakness. Drop coverage and rim rolling C or not playing.
He 's a low post C. He brings power and touch around the basket along with rebounding and some shot blocking. N'Faly is better than you think.
A. Look @ the start of the thread to see what I think.... B. None of what you says qualifies him to play PF. Hard no to that.
I don't think we have ever had this many bigs on the roster at the same time. There are 5 guys who are 6-11 and if they retain Boban one who is 7-4. That is a stable of huge dudes to throw on the court. Just wish we could have had Clingan to mix and match as well. I think he's going to have a good career. Not over Sheppard, just in addition to.
Always reminded me of an aggressive Clint Capela. Rim runner, great finisher, shot blocker, high energy.
I was onboard with this until I heard about the bad knees. To have such a problem at his age, doesn't bode well for a long career. I suppose this is why he went undrafted and was available. Sounds like a long, long shot to amount to anything. Or maybe, his knees are not so bad after all. Do we know?
Most 2 ways are long shots to begin with. I dont think he is currently injured now, but it may be Landale situation where he still isnt fully recovered. To be fair he balled out and pushed his team over the 6th seed in an upset and had a good performance vs the 3rd seed in MM.
How can you not ROOT for a guy like that? MY NEW FAVORITE ROCKET !!! Wow - touching story, I hope he develops into a rotation piece. DD
I hope the Rocket front office see him as a long term commitment and foster a true lasting relationship. I believe he is worth investing in. Let his knees truly heal before using him. Then use him in spot minutes gradually transitioning to the rotation. I believe he is capable of being an energy (close to) double double in limited minutes. He seems like a super roll player. If we show loyalty to him, than he’ll be loyal to us. I envision a super sized, better version of Tate. He will become a fan favorite.
Dang, some invisible ninja cutting onion around me here.. He came to US to play basketball, getting a degree, and helping his family.. I hope that he will make it in the league.. Does anyone know that Dante got his degree in Oregon or not?
