Was anyone else going to pay Hader what the Astros paid him? Maybe the Dodger or Yankees but he wasn't an Astros type move. The moves the organization has made in recent times have stung but the Astros still are in the thick of things thanks to being in a poor division.
13-26 in games decided by 2 runs or fewer. Joe Esapada is a God awful manager, plain and simple. This game was the perfect example of his ineptness and lack of leadership. 33-18 in all other games. That accentuates that much more that when it matters most, Joe shrivels.
Circumstantial! What would you have done differently? (You’re also opening up all sorts of… “i prefer my leaders to get their teams out to big leads, not play in close games…”)
What should he have done differently? I think Dubon needs a rest. Chas and Cabbage need to see way less playing time. But other than that, not really sure what else we could have done.
Tuve should've bunted with Loperfido on 2nd and no out. Situational hitting and in-game coaching sucks ass.
