To me it seems like he is the player most likely to get a look from the astros: think Brantley, Abreu. I think his bat would fit well on the team.

He has made a bit of a resurgence lately, but still in a miserable season and Astros are probably wary of older hitters.

I also think a guy w/ control to replace Bregman's production in 2025 is a priority.

I think he would be behind several guys, but better than no addition at all.

2-3 years ago he would've been a great addition.

Please don't use Brantley in the same breath as Abreu ever again. Matter-of-fact, J.Abreu doesn't exist anymore. Never happened!

We don’t need another bat that like last year and this year version of Uncle Mike and Abreu.

...just... WHY? WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER OVERPAID WASHED FIRST BASEMAN WHEN WE ARE ALREADY PAYING FOR ANOTHER ONE

Brantley actually hit really well when he had an opportunity outside of the Dusty ease his way in strategy

Think I’d rather focus on adding pitching help

Bagwell is a great player, but he sucks at talent evaluation. I know he was never a GM for the team, but he was used as the face of the organization when the team went after Abreu, soon after letting Click go.

It was again Bagwell who went to Florida to say Abreu was ready to come back after he agreed to redo a mini spring type regimen. To me it seems Bagwell spoke in favor of Abreu when he was a free agent. And he was given an opportunity to fix his guy! But Abreu was washed up and the Astros signed a lame duck player.

I’m glad the Astros chose to go with Singleton and Dubon to man 1st base for the rest of the season.

Agreed, I am not sure I want Framber on a long-term high dollar deal, the dude needs a full time shrink. It doesn't seem like it now but were really deep at SP when healthy so I won't be shocked to see Framber dealt for prospects or part of a 1B trade

Seems to me and I know other people have said it, but the pitch clock has killed Framber. He can't take time and regroup and rub that ball up with sweat and rosin like he could before.

You do know that most pitchers peak in their 20s, right? Framber is on the wrong side of 30. Framber's "decline" is most likely age based.

Or I guess we can find a reason to blame Bagwell or Dana or Espada or Jim Crane or Dusty or ... Stephen Silas or Bill O'Brien.

I want Christian Walker. Won’t take as much since he’s a free agent after the season.

Dude rakes in Dodger stadium if there’s another Astros/Dodgers WS. 19 homeruns in 42 games.
