Who does Seattle (trade-wise) stick in the middle of their lineup? 2 guys maybe? That's the only thing that's keeping them from being pretty damn good.
If I were them I would target Tommy Pham and Jonathan India and try to get them without giving up Ford or Young. Alternative targets would be Brandon Lowe and Taylor Ward.
I have several Mariner fan friends (live in Washington) and they all say DiPoto refuses to trade w/ Angels (or Angels refuse to trade w/ him)
They've made ton of off-season moves the last few years. All of them seemed pretty good. Once they get to Seattle they all, without fail, forget how to hit, it's crazy. I don't know what program they're running on the hitting side, but they need to tear it down to studs and start over.

Crochet is awesome, but he is not going to be able to keep throwing starters innings the rest of the year. Whatever team gives up a ton for him is going to have to do so with a plan to drastically reduce his innings moving forward this year To me he would be a great target for a team like Washington, Pittsburgh...a team that isn't a true contender this year but is definitely on the quick path to being one Can you imagine Skeens, Jones, Crochet...yikes
It’s time to end the Joey/Cabbage thing and go with Chas as a full timer. He is a proven bat that needs consistent playing time.
With Tucker out there has plenty of time for all 3. Chas has been absolute dog s**t this season save for the one 2 homer game. If he had been even passable he would still be the everyday starter.
It’s just that we’ve given a much longer leash to other guys who weren’t more deserving than Chas. Chas has sucked for not even a third of a season and he was injured too.
I'm okay with a Loperfido/Chas platoon at left. And whoever is not starting is a pinch runner option for whoever is at DH or 1B.
I totally understand that. I just don’t think Loperfido should be ahead of, or on equal footing with a proven veteran bat like Chas. I think he should have to prove himself worthy of that responsibility, which he really hasn’t yet. Meanwhile, you’re also giving sporadic playing time to a proven bat who is trying to overcome a slump and an injury. I say we get Chas going.
