This is the way. Then Tari and Cam off the bench with crazy energy. If Green can be his March self and Bari takes another step, this team can make the playoffs.

Over the next 3 seasons I’d like to see this 8-man rotation:

    5/4 rotation of Sengun/Bari/Amen
    3 - Tari/Cam
1/2 rotation of FVV/Reed/? 2-way player with size

Not a single lineup with brooks, and he is starting. I hope his minutes get reduced by the end of the year.

I'm expecting Brooks to bounce back this year and there to be a lot of competition for minutes. I just don't see much value in maybe, maybe not having a small improvement by a veteran over playing a younger guy that is almost as good or better.

    Damn if we’re dreaming:

    Sengun
    JJJ
    Tari
    Green
    Haliburton

Hey you didn’t say it has to be according to our current roster.

I'm surprised so many people don't want FVV starting. We all saw how bad the team was when he was out those few games.

starting: FVV, Green (last year to prove himself), Brooks/Eason, Jabari, Sengun

bench: Amen, Sheppard, Whitmore, Eason/Brooks, Adams

    injury replacements: Holiday, Tate, Landale

Knowing Ime tho, Holiday is probably going to take Sheppard's minutes unless he absolutely is balling out in the summer league + in practice.

I hope it doesn't happen because I doubt we are picking up FVV's team option next year (unless it's for trading purposes) so we desperately need a guard who can replace him.

Part of me thinks Green will be terrible the first month and he'll be relegated to the bench and hopefully Ime gives Whitmore some burn at the starting 2 spot because I'm high on Whitmore's potential.

The lineup I'm most curious about seeing perform is Sheppard / Thompson / Eason / Smith / Sengun. That lineup (or possibly the same, but substituting Whitmore for Eason) I think might be the strongest long-term starting five.

However, I do think we need to see substantial improvement on outside shooting from that entire group, except possibly Reed Sheppard depending on how well he translates.

If that group of players as a whole can average over 37% from three while taking an above-average number of three point shots, I think we'll have something real cooking on both ends.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the secondary lineups anchored by Steven Adams. The Rockets still struggled last season against some of the bigger frontcourts, and the option of countering with a lineup that includes Adams, even for 10 or 15 minutes, could help to win a few more games.

There are a lot of possible variations, but I could see Udoka using the one below to get a defensive stop.

    FVV
    Thompson
    Brooks
    Smith
    Adams

If all those things happen, they could have home court advantage much less make the playoffs.
