Ime: “You earn what you get. You saw that last year. I do want him to make it tougher on others, on me and the coaching staff. You get the playing time you earn. Reed is in the same situation.”
Are we still pretending that "everything is earned" at every position when that clearly wasn't the case last season for everyone?
Do you see that feistiness? Ime: We’ve all seen it. When he came in, he didn’t want to just work out. He wanted to compete against other guys. Stacy at dinner said it a few times, you can’t be soft.
Reed wanting to get on the court and play against some of the guys during his workout stood out to Ime. Seems like he held up well?
I mean, to be fair, it was a weak draft class and he'd probably have been picked at least 4 or 5 picks later in a "normal" draft. It's not like we got a guy where the consensus is that he's a monster, incredible talent and everyone in the league thinks he is going to be a star player. A healthy level of expectations is to think of him as a shooter off the bench for the moment, and we'll see if he can prove himself to be more than that.
I'm just saying, the way they write about him is like they used an 2nd rd pick on Troy Daniels or signed some guy to the minimum. "Almost forgot they added this dude, coaching staff likes shooting so maybe they'll use him in some role next season." That's obviously ridiculous. They used the #3 pick on him. If they look at him as a flyer, the way these guys write about him, then are absolutely idiots for drafting him at all.
That young man doesn't look like a professional athlete at all lmao Can't wait for him to drain buckets on dudes and cause them to smh
