Rox FO management and coaching staff should at least be advising him on his priorities of what to work on
I’m sure they are. He’s a pro, he’s getting in basketball workouts too, or Ime is gonna be on his ass
we'll see next season if his shooting improves. at least his FT% and 15 footers FG % at the very least
If he improves greatly he could make third team all nba and his max contract goes up 10m a year. That is the only risk to not signing him now. It is a small risk, but a risk nonetheless.
Funny how I didn’t see this overreaction when the Sixers didn’t offer Maxey and extension last summer. all of a sudden the Rockets hate Sengun lol
Sengun has some of the worst fans, I swear. He’s not a representation of them at all. He’s gonna get the max here, I’m not even sweating it.
Yeah, why don't I compare title contenders to rebuilding teams and draw conclusions out of it? All these cap space talks for a team that pays FVV a max contract is hilarious.
Doesn't it make since to not extend them right now? If we decline FVV team option & trade Brooks thats already $60 million for 2025 free agency I would assume we are going clear up FVV and Brooks cap and go big game hunting one last time next season and then extend one or both of them to go over the cap if needed I could be wrong, but clear out FVV, Brooks, Tate, and Landale, we will have like 80 million for FA if we wait to extend
I'm the biggest Sengun fan there is, and even I understand the fairly basic cap space benefits to waiting to extend. Media members parroting confusion over this basic reality is so strange to me.
Yup, extending sengun this offseason would be beyond asinine. Extending green wouldn’t hurt as much but the problem is giving a max to someone that hasn’t shown to even be a decent starter is also asinine
None of these Twitter people seem to understand that Sengun will be a rocket as long as we want him to. Because we actually know what he is, we will match all offers in RFA, but we can preserve cap space by waiting. Whereas it looks like we are going to let Jalen hit RFA without really knowing his value to us, and potentially match a bad offer or lose him for nothing.
Sengun is a future all time superstar caliber player whereas Jalen is a good potential player who needs to learn how to play structured basketball. Their level and status is very different. It is all about finance management. Rockets or another team, Sengun will take his max, for Jalen, at first he needs to prove he belongs to NBA and can play real, structured basketball, not streetball.
Hearing the Rockets are giving Sengun a max contract. My source is the anti-Kelly Iko so it’s gotta be true. Has that dude ever been right about anything!!!!!!!!! He’s a joke and needs to be fired asap.
