Biden wouldn't abuse such power, and neither would most normal presidents. MAGA supporters understand this. They don't genuinely fear that their opponents would act in the ways they project onto them. What MAGA followers fail to recognize is that even if they trust Trump not to abuse this power (which is doubtful, as many likely expect him to seek revenge), the real danger lies in the power. Eventually, someone will exploit this unchecked authority. It might even be some future liberal POTUS. Some said the military wouldn't execute the order. If the POTUS orders the military to take out someone and it's clearly illegal (but since he's immune, he can't be prosecuted), most in the military absolutely will not execute that order. They will resign. But it just takes a small group of people to act on the order, since by definition, presidential orders cannot be prosecuted even if they are illegal.
Officials' acts are immune. The hypothetical SEAL Team 6 political assassination was raised during the Supreme Court case. Trump's team argues that it would be covered by presidential immunity, and the SC agrees with their ruling today.

Everything should be on the table (except for that official act). Issue an EO stating that even if the POTUS is immune, no one should act on official POTUS acts that are illegal (let Trump, if he wins, overturn it). Protect your own administration's integrity. Start pushing for a constitutional amendment to overturn the Roberts' immunity ruling. Reform the court to weaken the immunity rulings by Roberts. Campaign on this. It might just scare the sh*t out of the 35-40% of the people that typically stay on the sideline to vote.

The first and the last are the only two that seem possible. Constitutional amendments just don't happen. The maga supreme court refuses to reform itself on even the most basic ethics, there is no way they will reform their decision-making when all the big money coming in supports it. But I agree... this should be a party-wide campaign message. House and senate candidates need to clearly communicate what is at stake with an increasingly extreme and activist court clearly acting with partisan intentions. Every Biden speech and debate should focus on the rule of law and loss of rights driven by the maga party and maga supreme court. Connect these maga court decisions with Project 2025. Biden and Democrats may still go down, but the maga supreme court has given them another campaign message. Use it.

Could have in 2021 or 2022 when Dems controlled Congress and the executive branch. They refused to get rid of the filibuster though. It's the only likely option to bring integrity back to the Supreme Court.
So last behavior just excuses current or future ones? I said in this thread I had no problem with charging Obama if there was evidence of a crime. This ruling makes that very difficult if not impossible.
And this ruling makes It virtually impossible to hold him legally to account. Again for someone who complains about lack of accountability this ruling removes a lot of accountability from not just Trump but every former, current and past president.
Adding justices even then would be every hard especially with a very narrow majority. It may though be easier than impeachment and removal from office if judges.
