Well, he did say he didn't care where you were drafted, and that if it made sense to go play in the G-League, you'll go play in the G-League. But he also said that's 100% an Ime decision. So ... we'll see.
I see Holiday as trade fodder next summer and the following season. Throw him into deals for matching purposes.
I don't why y'all are complaining. You know he's Reed's backup. Jalen and other assets are getting flipped for Washington's 2025 pick unprotected and Reed is starting. . .
Aaron proven as a solid backup. Having more spacers are fine If all the backups are in, can run 4-out combinations. Ex: Reed, Aaron, AJ Griffin, Jeff...with say an Amen. etc
When Hartenstein is getting nearly 30 million a year and De'Anthony Melton is getting 12.8; only 5 million for Holiday is a solid value. Nothing wrong with having depth. At some point we may move 3 young guys in a deal for a star and we would want depth behind that.
Great value but this team really hasn't made any upgrades this off-season. We're relying on old teams falling out of the playoff pictures (Clippers, Warriors) and praying for our young guys to take a significant step up.
Our upgrades are Steven Adams, Tari Eason, Reed Sheppard, and to a lesser degree AJ Griffin. That’s a pretty good upgrade to a 41 win team I would think, even without taking into consideration of the young guns taking a leap.
Yeah I imagine it’s a given that Holidays minutes won’t be guaranteed. They weren’t guaranteed last season, and this time around we’re paying him double to keep happy. They might start the season with Sheppard needing to earn minutes from Holiday or such, which I’d like, but obviously there won’t be a situation where Holiday refuses to sit.
