Holy overpay Batman. JV got 3/$30M. Is Hartenstein really $57M better?!

This makes no sense to me.....Harty is a nice role player but this is locking up a lot of money to a guy that may not even play some game.

You want to be the team that drafts Hartenstein, not the team that signs him to a large extension

    Sincerely

We should have signed him to the last contract he had before this one but alas who cares, the worse we suck the better the picks

Jonas V resigned himself to the crappy wizards for 10M a year while Hartenstein is gonna get paid 30M a year to play in OKC.

lol wtf! Jonas V's agents have some explaining to do.

Also is this might be the 2nd worst contract this year if Klay signs a max deal. Otherwise it is the worst. I mean I like Harty but I'm sure they can get Nic Claxton and Jonas V combined with that money...

Basketball wise they needed a defensive C though. Chet can go back to PF and Jdub can go back to SG or SF.

$30M/yr for ihart is crazy, but it's a good signing for Thunder.

I think its a fantastic WIN NOW acquisition
Harty maybe marginally overpaid but he is on their time line
and he does everything they need him to do
    HE brings Grit and Hustle

A perfect match. Fits like a glove. This is an "overpay" in the sense no other team would pay him this much, but Hartenstein is the final key piece for a championship-level roster. He directly addresses OKC's lack of physicality and weak defensive rebounding.

OKC got Hartenstein to shut down Sengun.
