PG to me is not a superstar, a bona fide 2 way player, and last year did not convince me.

A tier above Mikal Bridges, I am not too high on both of them.

There is zero chance Amen would be the included player in a deal like this in any case barring an All-NBA calibre talent and even then the brass would push out many of the other young core before Amen.

I agree. Don’t want PG unless it was 2 years with a team option on a third. I wouldn’t give any of the core up for him. He is not a great all-around player anymore and probably won’t be able to stay on the court. Last year was his first in 5 years to play more than 56 games. Previous 4 years were 48, 54, 31, 56. It would be criminal to give up Amen or Sengun, really stupid to give Jalen or Jabari, and a real gamble to give up Cam or Tari. Brooks, filler, and a couple of top 4 protected picks at most. It’s all moot anyway, he’s going to the Lakers or Sixers.

We likely won't have to worry about him, because a contender like the 76ers with cap space are supposed to make a hard run at him...

"Teams like the Philadelphia 76ers—who lead the league with $58.4 million in projected practical cap space—won't be concerned with the second apron, though. Several more teams have the financial flexibility to make a splash in the coming days.

Here's a look at where every team stands on the verge of free agency:

    1. Philadelphia 76ers: $58.4 million"

so basically the clips did him dirty or i misunderstanding? still don't see why he'd go back to the clips. time to join the rox on a MLE deal.

They did the warriors dirty... at their own expense.

They refused to trade him to the warriors and will now lose him for nothing just so the warriors couldn't get him.

I dont see why the Rockets keep getting tied to older, past their prime, injury ridden players. Not going to happen. Why even discuss?

Easy, if you are an over the hill player who is getting lowballed, just leak that the Rockets are interested....a team that has a ton of potential trade assets who is publicly claiming that they NEED to make the playoffs this upcoming season. Even if it's not true, it makes it seem like there is competition for your services and potentially increases offers.

I think most of them are BS.

I mean the Clippers aren't obligated to trade him to the Warriors even if the Warriors agreed to pay him full max. My guess is the Warriors asked them to take Wiggins contract, since otherwise you'd think the Clippers would take any assets vs. losing him entirely.

Sure raises questions to the competency for those that believe them, doesn't it?

Sort of, but at some point, one or more of them might be true. The Rockets basically need to make some kind of deal before the season to cut down their roster a bit, so at some point, they will have interest in making some kind of a deal.

Now you have to just guess as to which is real interest and which is BS.

Do they really have interest in Zion? What about Booker? What about KD? What about Brook Lopez?

With the Rockets tied to every single name that comes up, it makes it really hard to differentiate between the real reports and the bogint....and that's by design.

Either they did the Warriors dirty, or they did Chris Paul dirty, or they are trying to just be a bit financially prudent…

Any deal would involve guaranteeing CP3 contract, it doesn’t work otherwise, and that’s why GSW pushed his option to today.
I think there is still bad blood with CP3, so I don’t think Clips would just pay him his $30M to not play… if they plan to bring back Harden, obviously they can’t have him + CP3+Russ, just too much bad blood…

Bottom line is I think they just didn’t want to take Chris and his contract, and the deal doesn’t work otherwise…

No worries…..PG just listed the teams he would play for and the Rockets weren’t on the list. This thread can be closed.

I'm glad the Rockets aren't on his list and we don't need to have him on our list either.

Sure teams are just going to give us talent for nothing. Keep thinking that Kid. I'm sure it
    will take you far.

    Amen can't shoot
    and at the moment
    Jabari can only shoot.

Defense aside.....said star will bring both shooting and defense, creates his own shot and for others.
