This is a most intriguing post. What kind of work does one do when it comes to a coup? I am imagining the most nonviolent in this field is disinformation?

An assessment of the situation on the ground. Things like gas prices, stations still open, areas being looted, safety related info, etc.

Having experienced 7 coup attempts in the Philippines, I can tell you they're highly unpredictable and trying to make sense of the chaos can be critical to protecting American personnel/resources.

This is a fascinating, and I assume an exhilarating and risky line of work.

I’ve seen it said between three and nine, but there are variants of a saying out there that we are only (insert your favorite number here) number of meals away from anarchy,

Does anyone have an update on Steven Adams (knee rehab)?

Do you consider Jan 6 as a coup attempt?

Alfred Henry Lewis 1906 -- "There are only 9 meals away between mankind and anarchy"

Basically 3 days of meals. How far would each one of us go to provide for our families when the supply chain of food runs out? How desperate must each one of us get before we become barbarians who prey on those weaker than us?

He fits the Rockets style of play better than Clingan (to me). I like him. Looks like he slipped due to knee issues like Cam did. Signing him as a UFA is an absolute steal. Great low risk/high reward move by Stone.

It is such a bad tv watching experience…. It’s puzzling how someone thought that basketball design was as something good?

Amazing low risk high reward move. From what I understand Nfaly Dante is a BEAST and was so dominant he caused Ware to transfer. Athletic AF and the 3rd longest wingspan in the draft.

He is a traditional athletic drop coverage shot blocking big, basically Clint Capela, Nic Claxton or Clingan. Imagine we get the same dude as a 2 way as Portland with the 7th pick lol. The difference is Dante has been dealing with knee injuries, but luckily as a two way he will have time to heal and recover as he wont play much, if at all.

Just a great signing. True win / win. Even with the bone on bone; because can use injections throughout the season. He can make millions. Then after his career is over get the knee replacements he already needs and enjoy the rest of his life to its fullest. Who knows maybe with all the advancements in sports medicine get them sooner than later. His size, production and talent can not be denied.

I’ve seen enough. We have the next Giannis. Dantetokounmpo.
