How did Harrell take it? They all take it - the NBA is completely ran by stars, and the role players that don't play along end up playing elsewhere, outside the NBA. Everyone wants to make their bag in the NBA - so they shut up and take it until they are either washed up or too old. Hell, the stars even a lot of times determine how much the role players make because they put pressure on the front office to pay and keep them if they like them.
So it's down to 76ers or Pistons or Magic? Who else got $$$ like that? Unless it is a sign & trade or PG takes a hefty pay cut....
His options have now narrowed considerably. Based on who has available salary cap space for a guy like PG, the Sixers seem like strong favorites. If he takes a 3-year deal, the Magic might be in the running. I give the Clippers props for not allowing themselves to be bullied by PG. They are smart to allow another team to make a mistake.
The Clippers choose Kawhi over George. Tough decision. Kawhi is the better player, but he's broken. It looks like Kawhi didn't trip over the 4th year as he took a three year extension at less than the max. He basically took the extension 40 year old LeBron will take.
