I can’t wait to need a board and see Amen, Steven Adams and Eason on the court. The impact of our maturing youth, and getting over some injuries and adding a superior shooter is gonna be fun!

We were all too busy trying to figure out if Stone was playing chess that we didn't see him actually trading like he's playing Monopoly.

Phoenix could package No. 56 overall plus another future 2nd they just acquired from the Nuggets to secure a prospect who could contribute immediately.

They want to be championship contenders, but they’re trying to find 2nd round rookies that can contribute right away?

All this "Stone should have gotten more"...Yes there's the value of each pick, and what it all adds up to...which will likely be a helluva lot. But, this is also about timing... having an option/the inside track on Booker...very specific. a definite target. Factor them together. It was the right play. We're positioned perfectly.

Nook, is it possible that you overlooked the 2027 BKN swap that the Rockets got to keep?

It’s not part of the deal, and I doubt it’s going to be in any public analysis of the deal. But imo you can’t evaluate the deal without taking into account this detail.

Its value is drastically positively correlated with the deal. It’s a massive win for us to be able to retain it imo.

Perhaps that’s part what was extracted from the latest negotiation. I guess we’ll never know.

@Codman definitely called the AJ Griffin trade! I wonder who’s next from the birds. (pelicans or hawks)

Feeling better about this trade. I knew they were in a bad spot...but not half a billion bad spot.

I just caught up on this thread (7 pages behind) and I have to admit the @Codman return made getting through all of the bickering worth it. Good to have Cod back.

@Codman: Isn't Malcolm in the middle, Robert Williams?

It's kinda funny though. We were in "prime position" to take Bridges from Brooklyn but they still traded him somewhere else. It would be crazy if Phoenix trades Booker to Dallas or something then we end up giving them their picks back for Dallas picks so that we'd be in prime position to trade for Luka. And on and on.

I don’t root for injuries, but the Suns are a KD injury away from being a lotto team next yr, especially in the West. The 25’ swap may have some value yet.

Idk how cryptic the ”birds” reference is supposed to be but Donovan Mitchell went to Louisville (Cardinals) for what it’s worth.
