J.J. Redick: Abortion contract with Vanessa Lopez?

    One of the strangest NBA stories I have ever heard:

    Apparently, when Redick was a rookie in 2007, he and his then girlfriend (well known NBA lady friend Vanessa Lopez) had an abortion contract drawn up stating that Redick had to agree to maintain his relationship with Lopez if an abortion was to go though. He’d also pay her $25,000 bucks.

    Lopez is no stranger to the NBA spotlight as she’s been in legal battles with both Kenyon Martin and Shaquille O’Neal.

    If you're a multi millionaire athlete, and you get a girl knocked up, and you think she's trying to sink her teeth into you, it makes perfect sense to offer her upfront money to get the abortion. She probably can't resist the quick payday and the athlete saves millions long term. I'd say this type of thing happens all the time among the rich.

    I wonder how long before someone writes up a relationship contract requiring:

    1. Mandatory birth control administering.
    2. Morning after poison pill provision.
    3. Random STD testing.

    Those are key points every man should at least consider during a relationship even if you're a superman.
