Montero hasn’t been better. His ERA is a little lower (that was about 2 feet away today from not being the case) but his advanced stats are all much worse. His K rate has been cut in half and he’s still walking batters at the same rate. He’s also been in low leverage situations unlike last year where Dusty waited way too long to remove him from his role.
It happens. I’d rather we continue hitting and lose by unusual circumstances than we slump endlessly and look to be hopeless. Can’t win em all but hit like this rest of the weekend and we’ll put some runs up.
Correa just hit a 2 run homer to give the twins the lead over the mariners. Still some game left to play but love to see it.
