You think PG isn't chasing a ring still? Just like any star we bring in, we'd turn into win now mode which means a possible shift in the whole roster.

George is not coming to Houston anyhow, but I wouldn't give anything to have him on this team. Dude is not a max player, especially at his age and injuries, and would set us back to 2020 when Harden wanted out and were trying to offload Westy.

If Jayson Tatum was available on a Bad Team. Rockets would at least visit that scenario.

But the Astros WON first before breaking up the dynasty + had players in place to replace them

Apparently it's over PG a Warrior.

But for discussion, can you be specific?
Cade Cunningham is being mentioned as possible 5yr/$225M this off-season.
[$45M per year on the average]

Sure the Rockets could offer less.....but if Sengun and Green enter free agency what will
    they get?

People here think Sengun is a god.

I have no doubt that Jalen Green was top 6 in the league in scoring in March
and the Rockets offense was only second to the Celtics. Sengun led
hub of the offense has never sniffed that watermark.

Bucks run Giannis from mid court off a pick and he uses
his length and quickness to dissect the defense. Team usually
have to defend this by building a wall at the free throw line.
    Which opens up 3-point shooters.

I have no doubt that when Sengun sits Udoka will go 3 or
4 shooters around Jalen Green and run him the same way
the Bucks do Giannis. Green using his speed, hang time
to get to the rim......teams will have to build that wall to
force the ball out of his hands. Like last season, only
this time hopefully we can sport better 3-point shooters.
Beasley, Tyus Jones, and Jalen Smith all shoot over 40% from 3.

You just might see Green and Sengun at $40 million each.

    Jalen Green $40 M
    Sengun $40 M
Then Paul George contract. ( ? million)......or big star

    Following year:
    Jabari..... extension
    Tari........ extension

    Following year
    Cam Whitmore....... extension
    Amen Thompson.... extension

“We think the world of Paul George. But everytime he’d come over…he was always….kind of a little b****..” - Bill Hader’s character in Forgetting Sarah Marshall kinda and mostly probably

PG doesn’t strike me as a guy who NEEDS to win. If we’re gonna give up what it would take to bring him in, I’d rather bring in someone I’m fairly certain cares a ton about winning.

I mean the trade scenario you proposed is nowhere close to being realistic because the salaries involved would be wildly different so it wouldn't work. Anyhow, it seems the PG speculation is settled anyhow

    Works on Fanspro trade machine.

Because the Clippers are so far over and the Rockets contracts are puny with exception
of Dillon Brooks. Reed contract not entered yet (so sub in Tate for the Sheppard contract)

For the most part trades don't have match dollar for dollar in the off-season....depending
    on team salary figures

Not that I believe this account, but there would absolutely have to be a third team involved, why the hell would the Clippers help make the Warriors better.

Paul George can opt out if he wanted to, so Clippers would be wise to get something for him if he is set on leaving.

It is over 10 million dollars over once you factor in Reed's salary.

    Interesting article, thanks for sharing!

Further down in the article they have this video, in the section on Ingram:

Just watch Jalen green's vaginal performance act at the end of what is a great team defensive possession. We can talk Paul george and what not, but the bottomline is we are not going anywhere with sht like this. We need a team of ballers, not ballerinas...

Then take out Tate which is approximately the same amount. It's not that difficult.

Unless you want it to be.

Rockets were trading Josh Christopher, Garuba, and TyTy to make room room for Brook Lopez.

You are so, so deeply embarrassing as a poster.

Your personal animus towards Green and your transparently obvious insecurity with your own masculinity causes you to repeatedly embarrass yourself and distract from any point you might be trying to make with performative misogynistic insults.

People routinely call you out on this too but you keep doing it.

Who are you trying to impress? Does insulting a kid who you have never met using misogynistic language make you feel cool or more manly?

I challenge you to make a post about Green that doesn’t reference his nails or female genitalia.

    Just a sad deal.

There is one reality, the Rocket will not be able to afford the core 7, especially when it’s time to pay them all.

Green, Sengun, Jabari, Tari, Thompson, Whitmore, and Reed will be due big paydays even if they haven’t truly earned them. The only reason they falter is if they implode, and luckily the current core 6 have shown some skill worthy of paying them big contracts.

Green looks every bit a star player when he commits to it, but he is too prone to coast and that makes him look like a chump more than any rocket fan would like. But he is definitely setting himself up for a big contract because he has the skill to get it done. Already Ime had made him a positive player on defense, which a few years ago we might have thought it was impossible.

Sengun should have been an allstar last season, and we all know that all starts get max contracts.

Jabari Smith is on a trajectory that is going to be the elite 3 point shooting big man with elite Defense. He is also extremely efficient and improving.

Tari passes the eye test. He does the little things that get the team to win. Before he went down for the season the Rockets were a playoff team beating the elite teams. But after Tari got injured, the Rocket struggled for a few months before putting a fierce run to perhaps keep hope alive to make the playoffs by the end of the year. If Tari doesn’t go down, the Rockets definitely make the playoffs as a top 6 seed.

Amen Thompson has elite basketball IQ, and most felt that he may be the best talent the Rockets have on the team. If he can get his 3 point shot going, he’s destined to be an aNBA MVP eventually.

And Whitmore is most definitely a superstar offensive player. He is young and needs to figure out the team aspect of basketball, but he is social.

And for Reed, Stone said he the #1 pick from the 2024 draft, and all signs point to that’s whom they truly believe was the best.

    It’s such a characteristic play.
Some players are just lazy, don’t bother to step-in, others just don’t know what to do…
This is different. His brain gave the correct basketball signal: “You need to cut-off the drive!". But then at the very last moment his estrogen was like, "RUN AWAY!!! And lift your arms to protect the manicure!"

I am sorry, female genitalia is the only way to describe this…

I'm not sure of the playoffs, but the Rockets were destroying opposing backup units when he was healthy. The gap in winning was the time between Tari being healthy and Amen taking the mantle of defensive beast righting the ship on the backup units.

The offense may not have been great with them, but they were leading backup units to huge +/- numbers through defense. I get that this is hard for some to see.

I was with you until “…giving Tari….” Tari brings so much more than points and rebounds. He’s a hustle and glue dog who also bring points and rebounds. Otherwise I say hell yea.

The Rockets interest in adding a superstar to their team is like a guy stating out loud that he's finally ready to settle down. That doesn't mean girls will come crawling and may end up with a dud if chosen too quickly.
