No reason to get impatient now. If you can get a star like a Devin Booker or Trae Young, that might be worthwhile but only after giving this group at least a half a season. Stay put this off season and let’s see what happens. If, I know it’s a big if.. Jalen Green plays like he did during that second half stretch, thats a superstar level player. Arguably the quickest player in the league. Senguin will continue to climb the ladder, Bari’s improvement was solid, Amen was fantastic… this is a deep young squad.
J. Isaac is preferable and only let Magic pick from - Brooks - Tate - Landale - Adams (maybe) - (gulp) Uncle Jeff - 1 FRP (not 2025) - 1 SRP (maybe 2) If we did trade for PG, I would STILL want Isaac as that would give us a better chance at Western Conference legitimacy. It would hurt development of young players, but maybe they grown faster as well. HOU - ORL - LAC LAC: Green (HOU) + 1 FRP + Adams (HOU) + Tate (HOU) + 2 SRPs ORL: Brooks (HOU) + Landale (HOU) + 1 FRP HOU: PG (LAC) + Isaac (ORL) Also, at this point IF we're doing this, playing time be darned, I am signing Jalen Smith for the full MLE as insurance. TF better open the wallet. 28 minutes for the starters, 20 minutes for the backups FVV - Shepp - Holiday (BAE) PG - Amen - Hinton? Isaac - Cam - AJ Bari - Tari - Uncle Jeff Sengawd - Jalen Smith - Dante I think right now, I prefer to see what Jalen is about based on fatherhood maturity.
Tillman Fertitta, Patrick Fertitta, Rafael Stone, Ime Udoka all looked really excited and happy when Reed Sheppard was Drafted. Growing the Young Core and adding Young Veterans is the Plan. The Suns Picks in 2 years. The Rockets will only Improve because of the Draft.
Man the media is DESPERATE to break up our team. I'm letting it ride. We'll know more this year about who is part of the future and who is not but i'm not risking sending anyone away for an old and always hurt player that has not won much of anything.
Media keeps saying this, but considering the Rox just doubled their win total I dont see any reason for pressure to change up this team at least before the deadline. Media prob looks at all the assets the Rox have and think they're all gonna be used for a star. But the thing is there's no good star available now they all suck ass and or are old AF. If they start off 3-10 or something yeah I can see ownership getting antsy but right now I dont think that makes any sense. In fact the Nets trade suggests they are all sitting pretty cuz those Nets picks and swaps are more valuable for immediate star trades.
he’d have to be acquired for cheap for me to be on board with this turning 35 next season, defense overrated similar to post-Shaq Kobe, lacks mental toughness, and more this dude was playing like ass in the postseason and was still out here podcasting during the playoffs…I couldn’t help but think that he looks a little too nonchalant during a tough playoff series, especially with the way he’s stinking up the joint
I can only think of one time where this is even remotely close to true and that was a Les press conference that was about the practice facility where he made some kind of comment about not needing more draft picks. Has anything else ever been said - publicly or privately?
Like who? Jeff Green? Surprised Klay's agent hasn't told Iko that the Warriors have offered Klay and Draymond for Alperen Sengun and Reed Sheppard yet. Would love to then see Warriors fans talk amongst themselves how they'd at least want Sengun, Sheppard and one of Amen or Jabari for them.
PG has 2 really good years left in him. If we have to give him 4-yrs and pay him big money at 38, I don’t like that. There’s a legit question whether he’ll be on this team by the time we are truly contending. So you really have to be frugal with the asset value you are giving up for him. He’s not the long-term star target we are looking for. I’m not even sure if I want PG on a 4-yr max. But I don’t see him forcing his way to Houston anyway.
PG is 34 years old if we give him a 4 year deal, he would be 38. He has maybe three good years in him we can trade him the 4th year.
