lol. start paying attention to the criticisms Biden has received ever since he became President. This is the problem with the left--they do not take criticism seriously. Instead they label it all "Russian disinformation" or "MAGA rhetoric" and then find themselves in the hole they're in now.

The only talking point he probably would have is student loan debt.

What he's done with enforcement through the FTC is pretty progressive also.

    The left?

    Or neo liberals?

The Hillary types are the ones who say stuff like showing sympathy towards Palestinians is Russian disinformation.

Do you know what the "left" is?

They aren't the people who say that pro-palestinian protestors are all anti-semetic.

I will say that the discussion around the election has been refreshingly cordial recently.

It feels like most of us realize how ****ed we are and we're just vibing over it together at the gallows instead of retreating back into partisan lizard-brain mode when our guy gets attacked.

    PROGRESS!

Yeah.... not so sure about that after what I have seen 16 of the last 24 years in the Oval Office.

Last night was pathetic. Joe Biden is too old, and Trump is even more delusional and out of touch than before..... those were two guys that lost their speed ball at some point. They both clearly were not as sharp or as quickly reactive and the lack of energy on the stage was jarring.

Had the Democrats pushed Biden out after one term and nominated someone under 60 and bright - they would have completely crushed Trump last night, who literally just kept saying insane things like "the water was clean, the H20 when I was President" and spouted about hundreds of thousands of people dying at the border..... his lies were to the point of being the absolute absurd, but old man Biden simply could not respond fast enough because he is in his 80's.

I was ashamed to be an American seeing those two on the stage - they are literally degrading by the month.... these guys are a joke.

This is an empty statement. "The amount of dollars" has to do with federal interest rates and they have been down since Biden entered office though that really isn't his call.

Remember Biden's opponent when he was president in the middle of the pandemic, where signs of inflation were happening, demanded that fed interests go below 0%

So who wants to "print money"?

I'm not too crazy about his pushing electric cars on U.S. citizens on an AOC-style Green New Deal timeline

No, you can certainly be dumb and become a serious candidate. There is a lot that goes into it, and it really isn't always a battle of intelligence. JFK, GW Bush, Reagan and Harry Truman were not smart men. They had other attributes that made them strong candidates and in some cases, arguably good President's. There are lots of traits that are important beyond understanding theoretical physics.

but there's also more than one kind of intelligence. Twenty years or so ago the theory of "multiple intelligences" was quite popular if not faddish in academia. Things like "emotional intelligence" etc. I agree Biden is probably not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's got intelligence nonetheless.

He just wasn't smart enough to quit while he was ahead.

Don't confuse ambition, charisma and relating with people - as intelligence. There is a difference - and we can argue about how important intelligence is, but it is different. In my experience there are multiple ways to reach the same end - and that is a good thing. We are not all born with 130 IQ, but that isn't the end all be all either. Honor, ambition, being able to get along with others, being a hard worker - courageous.... all those are examples of attributes that matter in the world and sometimes people that are not terribly bright have some of these other characteristics and are successful.

lol, the money giveaway, the student loan forgiveness, the climate policies, the expansion of the administrative state, the open borders policy, etc etc etc . . . dude, it's all related. I can't help you now if all of a sudden it's a surprise to you that Biden tilted left after he was elected. That says more about your blinders and blindspot than my needing to explain it all in detail for you.

One of the worst parts of having these two candidates....

The discussion is about competence, age, mental stability etc.

When Obama and Romney were the two candidates to chose from, the discussion resolved around things like the nuances of health insurance.

    That's all gone now.

    The open border policies?....

    Wut?

Are you talking about the president who literally fought to extend title 42?
