Thanks. I'm talking about examples of people who were lottery picks within a couple years of making the trade (i.e Thomas Robinson, Terrence Williams and Hasheem Thabeet). Edit - I just realized AJ Griffin wasn't a lottery pick.

Again all the posters hiding behind their keyboards trying to act like they never had a bad year as a teenager. Tough crowd, I would hate to be their kids.

Not understanding the uproar about that tweet. The idea that pop music is a “tool of the devil” is old-fashioned and terminally dorky in America today but it has a long history in the Christian tradition and plenty of other conservative religious and secular schools of thought. The basic idea is that pop/rock/whatever encourages and celebrates immoral sexual behavior. Saying that the concert “promotes Satan” is just expressing that idea in a southern evangelical vernacular. It would be one thing if he was like “Beyoncé sacrifices the blood of the innocent backstage.” That’s an empirical claim that is just false; more like the kyrie video scandal about some epic cover-up. Conservative prudes are not insane.

Lol... this site truly is a a microcosm of the world we live in. Everybody is right, nobody is wrong, your opinion sucks, I'm smarter than you, you are stupid because you don't agree with me....etc.

I'm a Christian, there I said it! Call me whatever you want (idiot, stupid, mental, moron) I DON'T CARE, I'm old and have very thick skin! You do you, and I'll do me. But can you PLEASE voice your opinion of Christians, Muslims, Aitheist's, Agnostics, Trump, Biden, LGBTQ, Flat earth, climate change etc. in the D&D. I don't think I'm the only one who comes into the GARM for the info/giggles that make this forum so special!

(P.S.) I know there is an ignore button that is readily available, and I would gladly use it (liberally) if I wasn't so nosey/needy to want to know what everyone is talking about. So please, help a brother out....

    Go Rockets!!!

Posters acting like we haven't been burned by weirdos before. KPj, Royce White, Ty Lawson, Stromile Swift, Scottie Pippen.

I swear the same people that think a team moving on from a talented player in their 3rd year is just a thing that we lucked into are the same people that get caught up in pyramid schemes. I still remember Thomas Robinson. I know how this story ends. Just hope it doesn't end in a NYC hotel lobby this time.

    Pro:
    • Was good in rookie year.
    • Found success under Nate McMillan.
    • Play type is a shooter
    • Low acquisition cost.
    • Might be a Vipers candidate. Could be on official roster for depth and injury insurance.

    Con
    • Availability went down in sophomore year
      • 3/16/24 Ankle
      • 2/13/24 Illness
      • 12/14/23 Personal
      • 11/21/23 Illness
    • Processing speed a bit slow. And didn't fit when Quinn wanted to play fast.
    • Fell out of rotation
      • Jalen Johnson was awarded his minutes
    Overall grade: a solid signing.

It's a change of scenary, which might help him. Basketball career trajectory-wise, he should take this Rockets opportunity seriously. If it doesn't work out here, he could be close to being out of the league (or one stop left).

    p.s.
This is true in an office setting as much as the NBA. Separate politics and religion from the work place. Compartmentalize. Just makes it easier on your employer and colleagues.

i got no problem whatsoever with anyone espousing any religious belief - right up to somebody wanting to make somebody else live their life based on those beliefs... but someone just wants to talk the talk - by all means...
i cant call myself a 'believer' - more of an atheist thats hedging his bets into an agnostic... lol

but whatever makes people behave as better human beings is a good thing.

Personally, i think religion overall is a good thing... sure some bastardize it and make it an unhealthy judgmental thing... but overall, i think it has its benefits as a society - even if it aint my way...

Here's what I think: If he comes in ready, the competition in camp will be ferocious. If he doesn't come in ready, the competition will still be ferocious.

Somehow, the owner and failson have not chased the shiny object yet. As long as they stay cool, this should be a fun year.

Dude what nonsense r u rambling about trying to paint me as some guy passing judgement. All I know is u can believe in whatever religion u practice in or believe in good for u but keep your sht to yourself.

Something most folks can't do. Normal human behavior folks can't just mind their own business and like to push their beliefs and idea upon others, u are acting like my take is a hateful stance akin to racism.

All I know is this dude needs to keep his religion and beliefs to himself, and play ball.

Right before the season, Stone should sign Adrian Griffin to a 10-day and let him play a minute or two with AJ.

Why? So then LeBron/Bronny won't be the first father/son combo to play together in the NBA in a regular season game.

And it's always a good idea to f$#k with LeBron and the Fakers.

Very good pickup for us with just the 44th pick in a weak draft. He has a needed skillset. Hope he can come in with a new attitude and compete for a spot in the rotation. It will only make all of our guys better. Ime wants them all to compete and earn their time.

I dont care what happened in ATL last year, as long as he wasn't a criminal. He has NBA experience so he should come in ready to go. We dont need him to be a star, just be consistent and solid on both ends and he will get time and contribute to winning.

Bullock, Holiday, and Tate should all make way (even Boban).

The last time that religion ruled the world and science was not taken seriously we called it the Dark Ages.

Griffin was acquired with the KPJ trade exception which was about to expire. So his salary can be used as trade filler without affecting our cap or exceptions. Even if he never makes the rotation his contract serves a purpose. Plus there is the chance he can bounce back to his rookie form. Great low risk move.

If you play our record backwards, it's exactly the same.
