The Astros are 13-6 since Tucker went on the IL and were 27-36 before. Obviously the Astros are not better without him. Abreu was terrible, but in baseball it’s never one guy. Getting consistent quality pitching has been the biggest difference in the recent run. When the Astros aren’t playing from behind, their offense is much better as well.
I think the overall attitude of the players has improved since Abreu left. It really seems like a weight has been lifted.
It's never one guy, but one player can be *the* biggest problem when considering one particular guy on the team whether hitter or pitcher. Obviously quality pitching (multiple players) overrides one single player. Games are no longer available on Xfinity. Supposedly, the owner of Bally Sports has gone bankrupt.
Anybody else enjoying the fact we are leaving the Rangers in our rear view? They are getting annihilated once again. They don't seem to have any real solutions. Certainly can't count on old man Scherzer to pitch like he did last time out. You just love to see it.
Yankees rotation not looking so elite anymore. Gil's rookie run of luck seems to be over. Rodon seemed to right the ship but now he's abysmal again.
Instead of Seager hitting 100 points above his career OPS like last year, he's hitting 100 points below it this year. Semien is flirting with a sub-700 OPS -- Garcia already beat him to it. The '23 Rangers truly had one of the luckiest seasons in baseball history. Dusty helped it happen too.
