That's how good the Stone screen was, spurs didn't even think they had to outflank the rockets. Stone playing 5D chess in an alternate universe 4000 years in the future
Honestly, I don't understand the hype of Rob Dillingham...he's more comparable to Bones Hyland than Allen Iverson. This draft was weak AF!!!
According to the article, they allowed the ninth fewest attempts. Teams only outscored them by 5 points from 3 (opponents 33 Spurs 28 points from 3) That's why they like Castle. Good perimeter defender at 6'6".
Rafael Stone using Kelly Iko as a Source from the Athletic to send a Message Rockets want Donovan Clingan to make the Spurs not draft up Trading the 4th Pick and 8th Pick for the 2nd Pick. Rafael Stone maybe had sources Spurs wanted Reed, maybe trade up to 2nd to get Reed might happen.
Is he mediocre, Nope. So far his Top Picks haven't Bust like the 76ers or Lakers the Last 10 years. Thankfully Rafael Stone and Eli Witus use Analytics and watch many games closely to determine that player will be really good.

We agree on almost everything and I think Sengun will be an all -star multiple times but he isn't better than Wemby
Sengun is better today. Wemby will probably be better long term but I do question his heart. Doesn't strike me as a killer.
Sengun definitely can be a better player on the offensive side. It might be the old prime harden vs prime kawai debate

He's a whole tier of prospect higher than Sengun, and I love Alpi, but be ****ing serious he isn't remotely close to Wemby.
I do think Sengun is a slightly better offensive player right now--his true shooting percentage and assist rates are higher, scoring volume is similar. But Wemby is a vastly more impactful defensive player and will probably surpass Sengun soon on offense as well, if he can stay healthy.
