This was the best thing for Hockey in a long time. Great player on the cusp of an impossible outcome. People watched. There was some drama. A level of entertainment was evident. The NHL seems resigned to its' position in life, so they are not likely to see this as an opportunity, and they are probably right, but it got a little spotlight and we'll see if they try to do anything with it.
