I think the deal is good value, but the only way to "win" the trade is for AJ to be successful. I don't understand where his opportunity is coming from? So, we're gonna give another young player how many minutes a night? Maybe big trades are coming, but I wouldn't have expected the 44th pick to get any minutes and I don't expect AJ to get them either.
AJ shot well his Rookie season, but was hurt last year. Adding Shep and AJ to our team, truly increases are shooting prowess and free throw shooting in close games. Excited to see how he bounces back next year. SF is pretty crowded now--Brooks, Thompson, Eason, Whitmore and Griffin can all play there. Wonder what Stone has cooking?
Another SG/SF to go along with: Green Cam Tari Brooks Amen Tate AJ 7 players for 2 spots....yikes.... DD
At the very least his issues seems to be the crazies, which admittedly is one step up from being a violent psychopath.
9pt 2rb 1ast in 20mins in his Rookie year. 39% on 3. 89% FT. 58% TS. Positive o/d win share and 0.4 vorp. not sure what Quinn has on him but he desperately needed a change-of scene.
Who do you suggest we trade, though? Any ideas? Who would Bobbythegreat trade away from the Rockets? Hmmmnnnnnn....
Bobby in the g league against Indiana he played 20 min and had 0 boards 0 assists. I don't care that he was 4-14. He can't put forth enough effort to get 1 board? 1 assist? I get that it COULD be worth the gamble, but not when there are plenty of guys available today that are better than him. Hungrier than him. It's just my take. I don't get it.
Absolutely love this trade. It's only gonna be his 3rd season. This is just gonna be a depth piece but probably gonna see more time than whomever we were gonna take 44. Only ones left I might rather have than him are Furphy, Kolek, Filipowski and I doubt any are there at 44.
