it's funny how just about everyone uses bear-hug to describe what malone did to drexler yet not one ref chose to call anything. that's so far beyond a moving pick it's ridiculous.

Not a big game, but I remember Matt Maloney going to the bench with a bloody lip, after fouling John Stockton's elbow with his face.

Just par for the course, but that one stood out for me.

We still won the game, so it didn't matter, but do you guys remember a playoff game against the Jazz in 95-96, I belive, where the Jazz were down by a couple in Utah, and the clock operator started the clock REALLY late after the inbound pass giving them an extra 5 or 6 seconds and multiple opportunities to score. Tom Chambers missed the last shot, so we still ended up winning.

My dad actually found out the name and phone number of Utah's clock operator and called to harass him!!!

    It was classic.

Last season we had a game against the Lakers where we were supposed to win the game but the refs swallowed their whistles and we ultimately lost. Shaq had tripped Steve as we were throwing it in as Steve fell to the ground and Shaq easily picked it up and dunked it. He had clearly stuck his foot out. I was pissed.

That was game 4 of the western conference finals at utah in 1994. I the guy was Wayne Hicken. I think he said that he just got caught up in the game and forgot.
One of the worst calls was the last game at San Antonio in 1993. Robinson clearly shot the ball after the clock expired and the refs couldn't have cared less.

True. But considering Drex went on to win a ring that year. Also, O'Donnell ended up being investigated and given "voluntary" retirement! That was sweet justice.

The "phantom call" cost Jake his job (plus, not shaking Drex's hand before the game). Refs holding grudges is one of those deadly sins in the NBA.

Really? Then why does Steve "Sphincter" Javie still have a job? He must have photos of David Stern in a naked embrace with Ernest Borgnine or something.

I freaking hate that guy (Javie, not Borgnine).
