Kick the cam down the road . Usually a good thing when your team is young and you have time .

I question it because the 2025 nets pick was the best asset and just because NY has cap space doesn’t mean they will be that much better in 26 either .

sure the east is weak , but those were probably very good shot at being in the top 10 for the lottery .

the suns 25 swap we probably won’t use .

so all the value is from 27 to 29 . Right now that’s far away and so the value of those picks doesn’t seem that great .

obviously they have a lot of value to a tanking suns team … but you have to get there first . Beals contract is up in after 26-27 , so they might be able to add a piece to booker if he’s still happy .

overall I don’t think it’s a slam dunk for us . Slam dunk for the nets imo

Who would they have added though? Not a lot of availability in general, which is what the Nets found out and the reason they pivoted. Not even just looking at star players, what above average player could they have added to help them? They also added a new coach w no NBA HC experience. They were backed into a corner, not sure how you get Bridges to buy in if he wanted to be a Knick.

7 fantastic prospects with complementary skillsets. One of the best coaches in the league. Draft picks until 2029.

But hey, some believe we should have gotten a little more from the Nets in the recent trade, so screw Stone, amirite?

    Interesting for the long term.

Hopefully, Stone +Co. are planning for today, too. Freeing up space for all the birds? And where's Malcolm? Ime is hungry.

Where would Brogdon fit in with FVV, Amen, Jalen, Reed, and Cam?

Great question. Many plausible outcomes, but it would appear to be a consideration of addition through subtraction. Ime's relationship with players reminds me of Rick Adelman...he has "his guys" throughout the league and those guys are just as reciprocal to linking up (or, back up).

This along w the Bridges deal seemed to be the biggest trades (considering these are the key assets from a James Harden and Kevin Durant deal) leading up to and through the draft, surprised there has been no other major movements.

The Suns will most certainly be used. Unless the Suns have a better record than the Thunder.

Cod bomb! Good to see you posting and hope life is good.

    “birds” = hawks, Pels?
Ive wanted Brogdon for a while; think he’d be a great fit (taking pressure off Fred). Was interesting to see Washington get so much for Adjvia. Brogdon almost felt like a throw-in. You think we can get him from the Wiz without giving much up?

There are already more than 800 messages and I have not read a single solid (or intelligent) argument against the deal.
My only doubt is whether Stone couldn't have squeezed the Nets a little more.

I think @Nook also made this point. It’s about what we left on the table. I too believe we should have been able to extract more. Sean Marks had no where to go. But what is done is done and I will enjoy watching the Suns implode to our benefit. I actually enjoy watching Ishbia come in so cocky like he’s smarter than everyone in the room and he’s got the secret sauce (like no one had ever tried the old super team route) and spectacularly fail.

I like the deal though maybe the FO could have negotiated one of the Knicks first round picks from the Mikal Bridges deal, preferably the 2031.
