I would be ecstatic with Cam Spencer.
He and Reed Sheppard were the 2 best shooters in college basketball.

Cam shot 44% from three, 91% from the free throw line last season. He played pretty good defense while winning the championship at UConn. Kid has 4 seasons that he shot over 40% from 3. Certified Sniper.

    Get shooters!!!

    44. Houston Rockets

    Jamal Shead | 6-0 guard | 21 years old | Houston

Shead is one of my best players remaining, a remarkable defensive savant who is as aggressive at the point of attack and in help situations as you’ll find an undersized guard. If he can figure out the offense, he’s so good on the other end that All-Defensive isn’t out of the question. Having said that, it would require him earning the minutes to be able to accomplish that by improving his jumper and continuing to play at a high level as a distributor out of ball screens. Even after having drafted Reed Sheppard, the Rockets would just see this as a best-player-available strategy.

    44. Houston Rockets: Ajay Mitchell, PG, UC Santa Barbara | Age: 22.0

Agree. I've seen him play so many games at UH and he can run an offense and is lock down defender. Draft him and let him play in the G league couple of years and then bring him up

This is the guy I'd love to get at 44...

Keeping the theme of guys that play the right way, this kid has size, can shoot and play make. Here's a good breakdown by Swish Theory... https://theswishtheory.com/2024-nba...it-and-maximising-nikola-djurisic-in-the-nba/

Seems like he has a pretty wide range of eval, but he played on same team as Topic last year. Would be a great guy at 20 to develop with Vipers for a year.

I don't think guys like Johnny Furphy, Tyler Kolek, Tyler Smith will be there.
So I'll go with Antonio Reeves, Nikola Djurisic, Ajay Mitchell, Jamal Shead, Ulrich Chomche, Adem Bona, N'Fally Dante, or Quinten Post.

Shead. No brainer Udoka type player. You know how a possum will crawl up the ass of a dead cow and feast on it from the inside out? That's Shead.

But I don't think they would do two small guards in the same draft...

Ajay Mitchell is a better choice than Shead.

I read an article yesterday where he was called the best on ball defender in the draft.
