Van Dijk hasn't been playing well for some time. He's had some cover in Liverpool to hide that he's aging rapidly. I think he's become one of the more overrated players in the game.

Mood is a bit subdued after Sunday's game, but we've always had at least one weak group match even when we later won it all, so I'm positive about the Ro16 match against Denmark. Like basso wrote, the Danish are well organized and will fight their hearts out, but I don't think their defense can be capable of withstanding Musiala and Wirtz, especially since Nagelsmann could throw-in Füllkrug and Sané anytime if necessary. Homecrowd in Dortmund will play their part as well.

It seems like we would have been in the easier half of the bracket had Fuellkrug NOT scored that last minute goal...

Belgians just as embarassing as the English. Or the French, whom they will play now in a knockout game.

I'd say England is more embarassing as more was expected of them

Sucks for Ukraine. 4 points and had opportunities to beat Belgium but still go home, even with other teams having 3 that will move on.

Most probably, but England's group was a bit heavier. Belgium should've won that group with at least 7 points, given their level of talent. Instead they finish one Ukrainian goal away from elimination.

At least some drama in the final matches.

Stage is set and once again the bracket is lopsided.

Great unpredictable tourney so far. My only regret is that last second Italy goal.

had to look a few of these flags up. Slovenia and Slovakia need new graphic designers.

Been a fantastic tournament so far. Outside of the dreadful France v Netherlands game, every game has had some measure of drama. That Czechia v Turkiye game today was nucking futs. 2 reds and 20 yellows. A goal called back for reasons passing understanding. Many of the yellows to players not even on the field. Absolutely crazy f***ing game.

If I had to pick a player of the tourney so far...it would be the keepers. They've been unbeliveable. So many world class saves over and over again. Even if the goals have been coming, Outside of Bayindir's howler against Portugal, the goalkeeping has been amazing.

Danes did not have it today, and failed to control the ball like they had in their previous three matches. Finishing, or lack thereof, finished them.

still, that sequence from the disallowed goal to the handball/penalty was brutally unkind.

    QUARTEEEEERS!! HERE WE GO!!

GG to the Danes, good fight. Only got themselves to blame though. That Group C was theirs to take and if they didn't play for draw all week long, the top 8 would've been possible with this squad.

Don't think it's possible to be more unlucky than Joachim Andersen after halftime. Not scoring because of a toe offside, then causing the penalty with his fingertips (even though most defenders now automatically hide their arms behind their backs, he should've done that as well). Gotta admit though, that early goal was clear to me. Kimmich is hardly moving and the defender wouldn't have stopped Schlotterbeck anyway. If we can be sure of anything in this world, then the Warriors wouldn't have been called for a moving screen in that situation. Second goal is 50% on Schmeichel, must risk it all because Musiala is ice cold in front of the goal, unlike Havertz or Sané.

Just hope we didn't use up all our fortune today. Spain up next, to 99% (hope for Georgia to somehow force penalties or whatsoever). Nobody suspended, that'll also help. Rüdiger is a monster.
