You can interpret it any way you want. All the so-called experts and beat writers are just doing what media members do.....present fluff pieces to paint a picture that "your favorite team" fanbase want to hear. As views, or likes or Click bait BS. I TELL IT LIKE IT IS. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT I DONT CARE. NOBODY IS PAYING me s#it to give my opinion. Facts like Sheppard started 5 games and his team was 1-4 during that stretch......going around 43% from 3. One of those losses to NC-Wilmington. You want to listen to endless fluff pieces signing praises of empty nothing then go listen to Locked on Rockets or Chop Shop where they only push the positives and quickly overlook the negatives. Strange how you only question my motives or agenda. Look into the mirror on your own. Report the negatives. If I'm right I'm right. If you were ever right you would take note of it. Rockets bought a second round pick for Vincent Edwards and @saleem asked what I thought of the move.....I told him that I didn't think much of Edwards. I saw him as a career G-league player. And to my knowledge he has only been that. I said he was probably the nephew of someone that is owed a favor. Some scout put his name on the line with that one. I take it from the view of, if I'm the GM, how do I present it to my team owner? Can I justify a move or not? I can't endorse this pick. Sorry, what do you want me to do......I say it as I see it. You can continue raising your pom-poms to drum up team spirit.
This is straight up lies tbh, Redick 100% could create his own shot and dribble. He wasn't much of a passer sure, but watch the college tape, he's a 2 x Rupp trophy, 1x Naismith college player of the year for a reason lol. Redick's college career is actually pretty ridiculous, don't remotely take the NBA career and think his college career played out the same - it really didn't, and making stuff up about it doesn't really work when you're talking about one of the more impressive college careers of the last 30 years...
And that's true of most guards coming out of college. He needs to work on his handles which he will definitely do and all he has to do is facilitate and knock down open shots. If he passes the ball and his man doesn't leave him open that's more room for driving lanes
I had that hairstyle for the first 40 years of my life. Now I "rock" a Jason Statum Shep will become the primary FVV backup. Amen will play the 3 or 2. Tari will be the primary 4 backup with some 3 mixed in. Cam will be the 2 backup unless Jalen stinks it up again starting off then either he or Amen will start at the 2. Brooks will be the odd man out and not get many minutes.
yah this is basically my take. He was the best player in this draft by a wide margin based on stats and how he actually performed on the court. Plus he is a perfect fit next to at least two of our potential super star players in amen and Sengun. Really all we need is a JJJ or Issac type player. If I was the rockets I would be looking for that frantically and go at least half a year with a near perfect ten man rotation before trading everything away for aging super star
Ime will show you the minutes. The best players will get the most time on the court. They will not spend time trying to jump start anyone this season like last season. Good play will earn time. I expect Ime to start Shep off slowly and by the end of the season he will be a regular rotation player if he proves himself.
Reed the Peace-maker! Going to be weird around here and RocketsTwitter, now that we’re finally in consensus agreement on a player! I’m stoked. Really hope Amen goes to SL with Reed and Cam. If so, I’ll be there!
Give it a shot, you will understand why it's not realistic. We're just going to drag down the value of our own assets early in their development. It's like being at a company knowing there's fewer seats to get promoted than there are people beating the industry standard. If you've ever managed a team, the way that goes is: bad chemistry, reduced motivation. There's an art to this stuff.
