    Wasn't he right?

    (a) no change to the core
    (b) good chance of trading down (as Stone said - if Sheppard not there, trade down, or out)

The intel seems pretty good, it just comes with the regular caution of not overlaying our own assumptions over it.

He is way better than the Frenchmen Richard’s cashier and Star.

Andre never forgot where he grew up. But he made his home here in the States and very much appreciated the financial opportunity he could only find here. If we could ask him today what he thought about us drafting the sheepherder instead of the two Frenchmen, I am sure he would say

He wasn't wrong. Stone said this was the plan if Reed was taken before the 3rd pick.

He wasn’t wrong. He’s literally our only guy stop chasing him out of here. Stone even said if Reed wasn’t available he would have traded down. Not to mention the third pick being a trade chip was flirted by everyone in the media.

Not really, if you listen to Stone:

So glad Atlanta and Washington weren't smart enough to pick Reed.

Lol. He wasn't wrong, he was just vague and in that way he can't be wrong ?
Can you mathematically tell me what is the min percentage to qualify for "good chance "

I kept reading so much that Reed will be held back because he is only 182lbs. Then I just read Dily is only 163. I am worried he may literally float off the court and fly away like a helium balloon. How do humans under 190lb keep from flying away?

If we only wanted one player at #3, and kept it very quiet, then the only sound anyone would hear is us calling everyone for a trade down (or out) to cover our contingency plan.

So, a very large part of our preparation was accurately reported by ch44

and if ch44 is actually an insider protecting our secret of only wanting one player at 3, then this is exactly want he’d say.:cool: … push the trade agenda!!

You've given me the vision. Our Sheppard of the Court lineup is 4 offensively gifted rebounders and Reed. Reed brings it up, all four rebounders go to the rim and all watch for glory to swish the nets. If there is no glory, they vie for the opportunity to grab the ball so they may give it back to Our Sheppard of the Court.

No one can tell you that percentage because that falls on the evaluation of the Hawks and Wizards and what other teams might have been offering to get ahead of the Rockets.

Stone said they had Reed as the best prospect by a wide margin so in my eyes it’s fair/good/realistic/pick a descriptive word for a reasonable chance for the Rockets to consider that other teams also had that evaluation.

Also considering the almost binary nature of events that Stone laid out then ch44 wasn’t just bsing. If Reed available we take him if not we trade way down or out of the draft completely. To me that resembles what ch44 was laying out. We have differing points of view.

Ch44 could have said “The rockets have a list of prospects that they like at the 3rd pick and they have no plans to trade down. They view the prospects after the top 2 to be desirable”. He didn’t say that and he laid out a pretty specific course of action similar to Stone’s words.

That said I’m fine if you want to be critical of his message but I don’t see ch44 as off base or wrong.

Further reporters like Iko and Jackson Gatlin were absolutely dead wrong and ch44 was at worst closer to the backup plan that the Rockets had.

Yeah, compared to ch44, Iko, Jackson we’re dead wrong.

Like Woj, “Clingan is in play at 3”.

Stone said he spent a lot of time w Reed, I was expecting him to say like 12 hour a full day and a dinner, but he said 5-6 days. Is that normal for pre draft work out visit? If that is not the norm, then I believe they had him that high on their board if they were focusing that much time on one guy.
