Think what you are missing is Reed can make them work on the other end. That might be the best defense for the players you name. Make them work on defense tire them out. I'm fine with this pick as long as they use reed with tons of off ball movement ala curry. Eventually your offense will suffer if you are chasing him around screens all night long.
If Ime could access a few more of his brain cells and add some off-the-ball movement for all of our players, we will see improvement on offense. Jalen Green dribbling incessantly is a disaster.
Problem is off ball movement only works if teams respect your shooting. We don't have a single consistent shooter on our roster to demand that respect until now. Now if they just have him standing in the corner like Jabari I'm gonna go crazy.
Sheppard is the safe choice here. Frankly I don't see a high ceiling for him, I think his lack of size will be difficult to overcome. I would be happy if he becomes a rotational player who hits threes at a high percentage and plays hard-nosed defense, like a Kirk Hinrich.
