Two months ago I watched Zach Edey drop 37 on Clingan in the NCAA championship game. Are we 100% convinced that Clingan is a defensive game changer? I'm having second thoughts.
I'm not a Clingan fan myself but college basketball is almost a completely different sport from the NBA at this point. Modern centers won't really be asked to guard the post up 1v1 anymore. It's more important for them to roam and block shots off help. If the other team has a good post up player (and there are like 5 left in the league) you just throw a double at them quick and it's over.
Clingan is actually pretty nice. His scoring I think is a bit underrated. Im still team Reed, but Clingan or trade (depending on what we get) wont be the end of the world for me.
