Don't think of positions so rigidly. He doesn't ever have to guard SGs or guys who are going to use their size advantage over him. This is where having an Amen Thompson helps a lot. Amen can fit in play PG and on defense guard whoever 1-3.
A lot will depend on what we do with Jalen. I can't see them sharing the court much--not enough size/strength/defense. If we trade Jalen or let him walk in RFA there's a clear route for Reed to start alongside Amen and the two of them kind of share ballhandling duties. If we extend Jalen and keep him around I think Sheppard is a bench guy for a long time.

Is Sheppard a point guard? He's listed everywhere as shooting guard. At least from what I've seen. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm a lot more optimistic if he is a point guard.
