Virtually impossible to make happen with the cap issues both teams have. I can make it happen, but doubt the Mavs bite or Rockets bite. Maybe Phoenix wouldn’t get all their own picks back.
    Rockets:
Outgoing: FVV, Jalen Green, all phoenix picks
    Incoming: Booker, Josh Green, Kleber

    Phoenix:
    Outgoing: Devin Booker
Incoming: FVV, Jalen Green, all phoenix picks, Gafford, Tim Hardaway, PJ Washington

    Dallas:
Kevin Durant, #3 from Rockets, #22 from Suns

Jalen Green + the Suns picks + Brooks + Tate

If they're so insistent on old man Durant, this should be the package. I can definitely live with that.

Take Reed Sheppard at 3. Take Cam Spencer at 44.

New Roster with 3 point percentages...
    FVV(39%)/Sheppard(52%)
    Tari(36%)/Cam(36%)/Spencer(44%)
    Durant(41%)/Amen
    Jabari(36%)/Jeff
    Sengun/Adams/Jock

The future of Jimmy Butler with the Miami Heat has reportedly settled despite his interest in an extension and the franchise publicly expressing a resistance to the idea. There were teams potentially interested in Butler, but he has communicated that he would like to remain with the Heat.

"From what I understand, Jimmy Butler is going to plan to be back with the Miami Heat next year," said Brian Windhorst on the Pat McAfee Show. "Even if there's no extension, he's going to focus on next season. He's got a player option in the summer of 2025 next year that he can use.

"I think Jimmy Butler wants to be in Miami. There's teams that have definitely said 'Hey, are you looking to get out?' And I think he said, 'I'm solid in Miami.' I think that's been communicated with the Heat. We'll see what happens next summer."

Butler has a $52.4 million player option for 25-26 with the Heat. If Butler and the Heat don't agree to an extension and have doubts about their future together, he could orchestrate an opt-in-and-trade, similar to the option available to Paul George this offseason. Butler is represented by Bernie Lee.

Is it just me? These so-so star players are very overrated. They won't bring you wins/ champs.

This is a perfect scenario. The Rockets split a pair of 10’s….

Sengun is not going to be a perennial All - Star. With Jokic, Wemby and Chet in the West, I don't see it.

For Booker I would trade Sengun and picks in a heartbeat. You would be set on the perimeter for yrs.

    PG - Thompson/FA
    SG - Green/ Cam
    SF - Booker/ FA
    PF - Jabari/ Tari
    C - Clingan

Any report that the Rockets are aiming for Durant can only come from the Rockets FO itself. No other party can be the source of that information. And we all know how much the FO likes to lie to create leverage. Soooooo smokescreen maybe? (Please?)

So Dallas turns Kleber, Josh Green, Gafford, Hardaway, and PJ Washington into Durant, #3, and #22? That does not seem plausible.

This deal is awful for Phoenix.

The more I think about it, the more this looks like it actually comes from Phoenix and is wishful thinking - not from the Rockets.

I don’t think it’s plausible either. I was responding to another post that said Durant to Dallas and Booker to us. You go to Fanspo and see how you could make it work. Both Dallas and Phoenix are apron teams. Durant is owed 50+

What's funny is we don't need KD, Butler, PG, etc. We can grow our base of star potential players and make moves in the coming seasons.

These teams have guys who are older and need to make moves sooner short term for their windows. They need to move for younger talent if their teams get swept or fail to advance in the playoffs, we're just barely getting started.

We don't need their aging stars, we can grow or acquire our own later. More like those teams need to move their stars within their windows of value, the clock is on them much more than us.

They can keep all of them and we'll continue to get better as the 19-22 year olds become 24-27 years old and hit their primes and peaks. I'm good with just letting time pass and enjoying the draft and upcoming seasons of improvement.

Well, how many teams can say that they'll be in the hunt for a title next season? Realistically?
