I'm here for Booker, not interested in Durant. The long term goal is to win a championship over a short term push. He'll turn 36 in September with a $50 million contract.

No way is Durant the right fit for the Rockets at this point.

Tilman and Stone are ready to undo all the good will they've gained the last 4 years.

The only way I would go for Durant is if he was a free agent and he was willing to sign for the MLE. If we were on the cusp of being a championship team with a one or two year window it might make sense to bring in Durant but as it is it makes zero sense.

I have zero interest in Durant or any other aging star. Either keep building with developing young talent, or try to trade for non-old stars. No PG, Butler, or Durant.

We should get Durant, Harden, and Westbrook to counter OKC's young core.

    KD is turning 36.

I’d rather go for Booker, DMitch or Brandon Ingram who are 9-10 years younger.

So lets trade away valuable assets for an aging injury prone KD who has no loyalty to any franchise

We'd all rather go for Booker.

But why would Phoenix trade their perennial young All Star and be left with about-to-turn-36 (albeit still great) Kevin Durant and the contract of what-the-f***-were-we-thinking Bradley Beal's corpse?

Phoenix would have to find a taker for Beal. KD would be an easier trade.

I think the Suns liked having EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR DAMNED GAMES on national TV last year.

Agreed Stone if awful at trading, and the only thing that doesn’t make him look as bad as he really is, is the fact that the Nets imploded and made their picks valuable. But now this clown traded them and traded the picks that may be more valuable

Rockets gutting their core/future assets for a player who will help them hover around mediocrity and at best a 2nd round exit over the course of a 2-3 year window?

    Please, no.

I’m willing to bet money we aren’t going after Durant and I don’t care who reports it. Unless that 36 year old is named Lebron that would be madness. They’re chasing someone but I doubt it’s Durant.

Whew! For a minute there, I thought we might be trying to get KD. Nice to have Windy de-confirm it for us.

As for the picks trade with the Nets, I look at it this way: Next summer, we'll be in a better position to entertain those kinds of superstar-available-for-multiple-FRPs deals that have become more common lately.

Then take a shot at Mitchell or buy low on Ingram who didn’t get an extension with the Pelicans.

I just want to avoid the aging stars with big names that we’ve been tied to like KD, PG or Jimmy.

Like it or hate it, what I’m hearing is first WOJ and now Windy are getting Durant to Houston vibes and I don’t get the impression that those vibes are coming from The Suns, but from The Rockets. We’ll see where this all goes……

Man y’all have to admit watching KD and Reed shoot threes would be a thing of beauty. I don’t hate it

Kevin Durant was immediately linked to the Houston Rockets following their trade for multiple future first round picks originating from the Phoenix Suns, while Adrian Wojnarowski later reported that Devin Booker could also be a target of interest. Booker, however, reportedly has no interest in leaving the Suns.

"Clearly, the player we're looking at here is Kevin Durant," said Brian Windhorst on SportsCenter on Wednesday morning. "I know that Woj has brought up Devin Booker. I don't think Booker has any interest in leaving the Suns.

"The Durant situation is more interesting. He's got connections to the Rockets. Ime Udoka is his former assistant when he was in Brooklyn. Royal Ivey is one of the closest people he's got in the NBA, has been for years. He's an assistant on the Houston staff. And here's the thing that's most important I know: that these Nets picks are very valuable. The Rockets want to win now. They're looking to improve now. They want to be in the playoffs immediately. That's what this trade enables them to get in position to do."”
