Was that supposed to be a joke by him? If not, dumbest thing he has ever said by far.

 

I think it's a joke. I think Dusty said something dumb about not talking about health because of Hippa and Chandler is doing a call back to that. I could be wrong.

 

With the noted exception of College sports, us southerners are too polite to lose our **** over pro sports, making up only two pro team spots.

The college sports fanbases aren't surprising at all, OTOH.

 

If we can get within 5 games by the trade deadline and get some pitchers healthy, we should be great position for the stretch. Heck, if we get someone like Vlad, it would be amazing.

 

I think a slugger to put in the middle of the lineup helps this team more than anything.

Obviously SP is a need but reinforcements are on the way and it's gonna be a king's ransom to get a SP that stays in the rotation once everyone is healthy.

Altuve, Tucker, Alvarez, and Bregman (post April) are a formidable 1-4 but 5-9 are just too inconsistent.

Diaz, Meyers, Pena, McCormick, Loperfido, Dubon are all fine hitting 7th-9th but none of them belong 5th or 6th of a good lineup. ( Diaz and Loperfido have promise to get there but not in 2024)

I would love to see Alonso, Vlady Jr, or Walker. Maybe Wade Jr or Yandy Diaz? Hoskins?

If only we had someone capable of sporting an .842 OPS to drop in the 5th or 6th spot. Oh well.

But at least he has been able to improvebthat to .646 since May 1st and .702 the past 30 days.

He is definitely on a hot streak. Hopefully he does get to. 742 AND EVEN HIGHER but I don't think he is a #5 or #6 hitter. None of them are.

 

I like Chas but there’s a very good chance that’s a career high OPS from him.

 

Weird how we know this after 40 games and an injury.

 

Why does everyone want to trade Chas if Tucker is a free agent...? I know KTuck is a better player, but having Chas next year provides some buffer...

 

Many feel that Joey has earned that spot already

Diaz has been much more productive in the cleanup spot in the lineup than any other spot he's batted in.

 

What would it take to get Montero off of this team? This is like playing a man short in the pen which only exacerbates Espada's security blanket issues.
