There’s been Luka leaving rumors for years and Booker might leave to due to the mess that is the suns
Did it really take until today's draft pick trades to really hate Fertits? Really? Of all straws this is the one that broke the camel's back? I mean, I can go back to when he first purchased the team and made us trade for Westbrick for perfectly fine reasons to hate Fertits. I mean, welcome to the club and all, but it took ya'll a long while.
While Flagg is a great prospect, he's more Cade than Wemby. This team already has more potential than it can pay. This trade lets us make a consolidation trade for pretty much anyone who come available without mortgaging our future. Also the Suns will probably be bad in 27.
Maybe. They were stubborn at the trade deadline refusing to trade DFS for two first rounders for instance and they weren't willing to give us Bridges for their picks back then or make this trade sooner. And if they traded Bridges without getting their picks back they may have instead made a more mediocrity treadmill trade for younger players closer to contributing like the Bulls keep doing instead of a teardown. We're in much better position with future draft capital than a few hours ago even though our odds at Cooper Flagg went from very small to smaller.
If they hovered at 0.500 how is that better for us owning their picks? Also why did you have to create a new thread when you clearly don't understand the trade?
I think they defer the pick by a year since they have so many rookies and are prob hoping suns will suck then
Like when Stone traded them Harden? I like how Stone already showed you doubters up once you still can't waiit to get clowned.
Apparently a lot of posters here think so. I'm actually surprised by how hard of a concept this is for people to grasp.
This is basically gambling 2027 Suns will be worse than 2025 Nets. Nets without trading Bridges will still be 9-12th seed team. We won't get lucky every year with their picks. In 3 years KD will be 38. Whether he will stay that long with the Suns is another story.
Stone has always been a horrible gm. He just drafts in the top 4 and makes picks that the fan base likes. Nothing required skill. All his non draft trades and signing have been absolutely atrocious. And some that never happened (oladipo extension for $55M that dipo turned down). I will never understand how you all stood up for him when he got extended
Stone should have gotten more for likely lotto picks in two strong upcoming drafts. It’s not a horrible trade but it’s not a great trade either. We kicked the can, which I guess we are good at. Brooklyn will now end up with a premier talent in the 25’ draft (which contrary to popular belief has a lot of good players, not just Cooper Flag). I get that we don’t want more young prospects and we are accumulating assets for a star trade, but it doesn’t change the fact that we had Brooklyn over a barrel and we didn’t maximize that advantage. We should have gotten more from them. A good GM would have gotten more.
3 years after Harden and the Rockets were .500 with the youngest roster. A horrible GM could've of written a better rebuild
He could have gotten 20 picks and somebody will say he should've gotten more without any rhyme or reason. Brooklyn wouldnt trade Bridges if we didnt give them their picks back so whats the point of holding them over the barrel? The 2025 would have been a lotto pick and thats it. 2026 may or may not be a lotto pick you realize Simmons is expiring in 2025 right? If Nets werent tanking they will flip Simmons for actual useful players or they'd sign someone in free agency. It doesnt have to be a star just someone who could play. Maybe you forgot but Nets were already picking 9th despite missing so many players due to injury. Even more tanking teams next year. The Rox didnt just kick the can they got a lot of value on top of kicking the can. You keep saying Stone is a bad GM without even realizing he is the one who got these picks in the first place. We are picking 3rd despite having a 0.500 record and you think Stone is bad? in 2027 when we are picking in the lotto again despite being in the WCF or w/e I'm guessing even more complaints will come out of your mouth. Stone is a bad GM? You realize how many years we've been tanking? 3? How many core pieces do we have? 7? How many times we pick in the top 4? 4? Anybody who keeps saying Stone just made the team bad and picked in the lotto can't even do basic math.
What a ridiculous overreaction. Also, you didn’t need to start a thread to throw your temper tantrum. Some of y’all, man. This is sports. Chill out.
How do you figure? He already got Tari and the 3rd pick in this draft from it and turned 2 of the remaining 3 picks into 4 more. Please educate me on why your claim isn’t just reactionary nonsense.
