The picks and swaps we got are unprotected, correct?

The #10 pick next year could be more valuable than the #1 this year. That's not the draft I'd trade out of.

We gained more than we gave up....

BKN keeps Bridges and possibly makes the play-in if we DON'T make the trade.

    We did.
    So they did.

    Simple.

More important, I don't think the Rockets were going to trade Green, plus picks for Mikal Bridges. If so, it seems like that deal would have been done months ago.

So we get both the Suns and Mavs pick in 29?

Are you forgetting why we have the #3 this year? Even with Bridges they suck. And 2025 is the best draft in a long time. I'd trade #3 straight up for an unprotected 1st from any of the bottom 10 teams this year. Picks aren't equal. Draft quality means a lot.

Yeah but realistically how would the Nets improve
Things were falling apart for then towards the end of the season and the players didn't look like they want to compete at all. Were Nets really going to do some crazy signing this off season that will keep them out of the lottery?

Thanks for the reply, it’s early morning for me … So essentially we’re hoping the Suns completely fall apart?

Seems like the Nets weren’t going to do a full rebuild without getting some picks back, especially next season.

We got lucky with the 3rd pick this year, pretty good chance if the Nets didn’t rebuild then we wouldn’t be looking at a top 10 pick as they have trade assets and cap space to use.

Dont take me word for it, but from memory Phoenix didn't protect those picks when they traded them

I would be really happy to trade the new picks for a star while still keeping our 3rd pick not sure if it is possible tho

Stone had to be in the dark about the Knicks / Nets trade. There is no way he makes this trade if he knows the Knicks trade is going down.

Woj just said we are targeting Devin Booker if the Suns are looking to break it up

Trading out of next year’s draft doesn’t seem like a good idea to me. But I don’t know what the next move is. Just don’t think I’d trade out of that.

The funny thing is we might not have a better record than Phoenix in 2025, so we might have just lost that swap. They still have the big 3 regardless, unless Stone knows they are tanking

They were 9th worst. They have cap space and trade assets to improve in this offseason if they wanted to be a bit better.
