    Because they wouldn't be making the Knicks trade unless they get their picks back from us.
    That's the only reason why these two trades happened right after another.
    It was already planned.
    As long as we have their picks, they would never straight up tank.
    I know everyone is thinking about Cooper Flagg, but chance of that happening is pretty slim because no team is dumb enough to tank when another team is holding your assets hostage.
    East is weak and they were going to stay "competitive" as long as we own their picks.

    It seems like a lot to give for taking a shot at KD with no guarantee. Huge bet, HUGE gamble. This does not make sense unless they have another move lined up which is guaranteed.

    What kind of trash trade is this.

    Rockets trading the 'Rockets for Nets' swap or 'OKC for Nets' swap in 2025, 2026 Nets pick to Nets.

    Rockets get 'Rockets for Suns' swap or 'OKC for Suns' swap in 2025, 2027 Suns pick, 'Rockets for Suns' swap in 2029.

    I don't like trading out of 2026.

    Ok I must be missing something. So why exactly did we make this trade? I get why Nets want their pick back, but why did we want to return them so they can tank in peace.

    stone just finding ways to try and keep his job

    all of his maneuvering is for naught if we don’t make the playoffs the next 2 years .

    he bought himself 1 year by going .500 and getting an extension . Cheapass tilman won’t fire him
