    Barnes has been the best player in his draft class, and it’s Toronto, so that major extension u could see coming a mile away

    Toronto isn’t a “destination “ place to play for NBA players even though I hear it’s a nice place

    I think if he had significant trade value, had have been traded last season.

    I don't see that many people lining up to give away assets for a draft bust.

    Sengun will get the max - at the latest after this season. From the Rockets, or from someone else. Barring a major injury, this is inevitable.

    That is the Knicks choice if they decide to pay him that. That franchise hasn't won a championship in decades and decisions like that are exactly why. Expect better. If Sengun or Jalen perform better this season then sign them for big money. Until they prove they can be all star players there is no need to pay them all star money.

    I'm not extending either one but for different reasons.

    Jalen hasn't earned it - He just isn't good enough to get a max contract.

    Sengun - He probably earned it, but his cap hold is literally half of what he ends up earning, it's beneficial to wait, spend the cap space first then go over the cap to extend him.

    Walking away from Green and waiting for Sengun is the difference between max cap space and none next offseason.

    I think Iko is Stone's mouthpiece, so with regards to Stone, this is probably true.

    Stone is also dead wrong.
