We have to trade Sengun

Im one of the most outspoken against Sengun; but I believe both Jalen Green
and Sengun will be show me players this season.

Unlike Detroit going berserk-o and tabbing Cade Cunningham their champion while Jalen
Duren is probably looking at that and starting to plan his exit.

My understanding is each player received a dossier during exit interviews and :

Udoka wants Sengun working on his 3-point shot. FT's.

Jalen Green: dribbling, minimize turnovers, shooting 3's, put on more muscle mass,
work on endurance. Green in interview at end of season said he and the trainer
would be locked in the gym from May 1st - on.

Where I don't think plop-plop Centers are designed to win championships in today's era,
I do think they are successful during the season. Prior to (23/24) when Jokic won it,
the last time a big Big was a major contributor on offense was around 14 years prior
    with Shaq and the Lakers.

I'm a big believer that the league is morphing quickly towards the lean big
Centers that can shoot 3's. That big helps expose those big lug centers
that play drop coverage and frown on coming out to contest the three
point shooters. The best teams in the league have multiple good
three point shooters along the perimeter.

Soon there will be more teams equipped with good enough shooters
to expose the drop coverage 6-deep in each conference, then 8-deep
in each conference, and so on, and so on.

Not only that; but lanky guys that can shoot and move fast
are infiltrating the league. Jabari Smith, Chet, Wemby, Sarr,
Cooper Flagg and Ace Bailey among others. I don't want the
Rockets to be behind the curve so I call for the Rockets to
draft Kel'el Ware this year. In preparation, to go along
    with Jabari.

But if the Rockets pay both Went in and Jalen Smith at seasons end....
I don't think Jabari will get big money from Houston. Tari will accept
lesser. Beware though, everyone wants Tari and all it takes is one crazy
GM. Then does Cam Whitmore and Amen get paid. Would be good to
have Kel'el Ware on a rookie deal moving forward as a ace in the hole.

So we just want to trade the most likely all star from our team? And for what exactly?

If a 5 isn’t a stretch 5 then he’s a rim protector/paint defender. Sengun is neither. But there’s hope he can shoot beyond 12-15 ft. Like I said Jokic and Embiid didnt start out as good 3 pt shooters.

If they aren’t a stretch 5 then they’re a rim protector and lob threat. And teams don’t usually run their offense through guys like Nurkic or Valenciunas or Rudy Gobert either.

Cam Whitmore shot overall 31% with closest defender 4-6 ft away at 2.4 attempts a game. He shot 50% defenders 6ft plus away 1.7 attempts a game. And 30% last 19 games.

Green shot overall 37% closest defender 4-6 ft at 3.8 attempts a game and 33% 6ft plus at 2.5 attempts a game. And 37% last 19 games

I love and support Cam but pointing out your biased information. There’s several other players that contributed to the Rockets poor 3 pt shooting but yet you continue to single out jalen

So Cam shot 50% on wide open threes, Jalen shot 33% on wide open threes.

Thanks for confirming what everyone could see.

Yes that’s the issue is the predictable high screen and roll which teams camp out waiting for the famous Sengun spin layup. It’s not all on Fred as there’s no movement on offense and we lack a 3 and 4 that are good at getting to the paint like a Jalen Williams or PJ Washington type. This combined with poor shooting. Fred does tend to hold onto the ball a bit at times. This is what I mean by keeping the defense off balanced. To do this means spreading the floor and playing iso with your best players to draw and kick. Means different screens in the paint to free Sengun coming out high. Means tight elbow dribble handoffs or off curls with Jalen or Cam.

Typical dumbass response. Which speaks to your bias as you ignored the 4-6 ft shot which Cam shot more frequently. The 4-6 ft shot is also an open shot you dumbass. And you completely made up 27% figure. Dumbass

I think Sarr would work with Amen very well

I just don’t think you can work well with a point guard, point forward, and point center and two of them can’t shoot the 3. One is debatably undersized and if Sheppard is drafted 2 will be undersized and unable to hit the 3

I like Sengun but don’t think he’ll be worth the Jokic money he’ll try to act like he deserves and he’ll neutralize Amen who is again oversized and a A+ defender rebounder

You realize Minny only had 3 guys who shot 3s? Rudy Gobert and Mcdaniels cant score out side layups and dunks.

Just wondering, other than Jokic, who among the NBA centers are consistent 3pt shooters? It is absurd that some posters have consistently clamored to trade Sengun unless he developed a consistent 3pt shot while there is not a single Rockets player who is even close to being a consistent long-range shooter.

Donovan Clingan body type when he gets 30 plus years old it will get harder for him to keep his weight under control. American Fast Food is a Addiction for Centers.

European Centers are the only ones that really stay away from American Food, their own home country cook meals really keep their body in shape. Give credit to their wife from his country knowing how to cook.
