I agree that Bari/Risarcher at the 4/3 is where the game is going and for all the concern about our shooting, Risacher actually addresses that (and he’s a plus on defense with size too). But Cam and Tari need minutes so it’s tough. If Risacher is the BPA I’m all for it but I think we’d need to make some roster moves.
Exactly. A lineup including Amen, Risacher, Smith, and Sengun fits well and is pretty switchable. Let Cam and Green battle for the last spot, with Eason as our super 6th man.
If we draft Risacher, I think the fit is fine--him and Jabari are exactly the guys you want around a playmaking center like Sengun--but it becomes extra-important for Dillon to be traded. Not enough minutes to go around otherwise.
Our desperate need is a center or a sg. Sengun natural spot is the 4. I don't want another softie settling for jumpers.
Aside from Risacher being taller and a better shooter? I’m just not as high on Eason as some. I’m surprised you are high on Eason — you’ve bashed Green for his efficiency, and Eason hasn’t cracked .53 TS%.
He's not a better shooter and while Tari is slightly shorter he has much longer arms and is much more athletic.... making him functionally taller. I like the kind of high energy player Tari is, he's the kind of player that just makes good things happen. That said he needs to clean up his finishing at the rim and he needs to be healthy... but I wouldn't play Risacher even one minute I could potentially play Tari instead.
Risacher at 18 shot .39 from 3. At 18, Eason shot .25 from .3, and he barely cracked .36 last season in a very shortened season. Risacher is absolutely the better shooter.
Risacher wasn't playing in the NBA so that number is unlikely to translate fully. Also he won't provide the defense Tari does and he's likely to be nothing more than a spot shooter due to his lack of athleticism.
Eason wasn’t in the NBA when he shot .25 from 3. Like most players, he developed that portion of his game. Risacher projects to develop it even more so. I don’t want to come off as bashing Eason. I love Eason. I just think he’s better served as a high-energy sixth man. Risacher, on the other hand, is squarely in the mold of a modern NBA small forward.
@ch44 bomb. Sounds like Memphis, Chicago and OKC are in play at #3. I’m okay with trading out of the #3 spot but only if it’s for a haul. There are guys I could get excited about in the late lotto but only if I felt good about the additional compensation.
I would be happy with any of Sarr Risacher or Sheppard. I just don’t know what the rockets are wanting.
