The non called check swing really hurt Montero, but the homer to Santander was also just stupid pitch calling. 9 straight fastballs up and in. I'd rather have walked him after trying to get a swing and miss on the change up.

Going to have to make some moves for arms quickly. I think it’s time to move Chas for maybe a #4/5 starter or at minimum a bullpen guy. They’re pretty much out of quality guys who can come up and get outs
We’ll see. The AAA staff has been really good. Dana Brown has shown well at picking up scrap heap arms (Tayler Scott). Eric Lauer has looked pretty good his last 2 starts. Bryan King (who they are calling up today) has been very effective this season. I think Logan VanWey has potential as a RP. And I don’t think Blubaugh or Gordon would embarrass themselves if they had to come up for a few starts. The problem the Astros have is that this is all temporary, as they have a bunch of guys who are scheduled to come back in the next 4-8 weeks (Verlander, Garcia, McCullers).
