Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Deirdre O’Connell co-star in the project with Craig Zobel (“Mare of Easttown”) directing the first two episodes and executive producing. Whether Robert Pattinson will make an appearance as Bruce Wayne/Batman isn’t clear. Lauren LeFranc is penning the series and will serve as showrunner. I'm surprised by the timeline of this. I thought for sure it would be about the Penguin prior to the Batman, but looks like this takes place immediately after the movie.... I'm in, but I'm curious how you keep it interesting when you know Batman is around but not doing anything about the Penguin, assuming Batman doesn't make many appearances...
He's not in power prior to or during The Batman. The Falcones still are. This looks to be more about the inner workings of taking over that operation than anything else....in the aftermath of Carmine's death and the Riddler flooding the city. Plus, in The Batman, Bruce Wayne says of himself: "It's a big city....I can't be everywhere...."
