We could get this guy on the cheap and could be a good fit with Alpi.

Lonzo was actually a really good player and he was developing into a Jason Kidd, Gary Payton type point guard. Excellent defender that could guard 1-3 and he became a solid shooter.

I might be selling Giddey short but I don’t see that upside in him. He does have good vision and has a decent handle but is a poor shooter and mediocre defender. He could prove me wrong this year though.

I am not sure we are the most attractive market RN for PG, but a package of Brooks + Tate + Landale + future FRP (throw in some SRPs for the pick deficient Clips) might get the deal done.

I just think PG wants to go to a team already fighting for the Eastern Conference Finals (NY, CLE, MIL, ORL).. possibly the West (Pellies)... I'll bet he really wants to just go down the highway to the Fakers.

Knicks could do Randle + Robinson
Cavs could do Garland or Levert + Allen
Bucks could do Middleton + Lopez
Magic got picks + cheap rookies
    Pellies got Ingram
So lot better options than our poo poo platter (unless willing to deal 3rd overall)

    Also for the bolded part....

Unpopular opinion Fvv, Brooks, Tate, Landale, couple of 2nds for PG and Filler and just sign harden to a one plus one contract

I backed away from Duren earlier but still think this would be a great pickup despite his lack of defense.

I thought we were supposed to get Malik Monk. Now it's Malik Beasley?

The Monk talk was always nonsense. Beasley is a much more realistic FA option for the Rockets.

He's not realistic at all. Teams over the cap all have $13M in MLE to sign him. Teams with cap space will offer $20M because free agents are hard to come by. Just Like Bruce Brown and Malik Monk, guys worth $8M a year will now get $20M because there is nobody else to spend the money on.

Sixers' Paul Reed is very interesting to me. About to become an average 3pt shooter (clear improvement in FT% and 3PT%). Good rebounder, shot blocker. Only 6'9 but with a 7'2 wingspan and good hops. High energy defender and moves his feet well on the perimeter too. Wondering if we're seeing a poor man's JJJ developing there - which is pretty useless next to Embiid. Two years remaining at $7-8m per season. 25 years old.

I wonder if we can snatch him for our backup 4 and stretch 5 option. Can take over backup 5 after Adams' contract ends next summer. I feel like he could be a good pairing with Sengun in some matchups of if we wanna go 5-out with Jabari and Reed still able to protect the rim as 4/5.

Wonder what would entice Morey to do it other than clearing $7m more in cap space. I wouldn't give up a decent FRP for Reed, but maybe a top 25 protected pick.

Damn. I'm getting old. I was 11 years old when that happened. Feels like half as long ago.

Man Walker Kessler is available and the reason he’s available is because the coach is mad he wants to add range to his game. That’s apparently why he wasn’t getting many minutes.

I wish we knew this before acquiring Adams, he would be a great acquisition for us - extremely good rim protection and his shooting is at a point that if he’s motivated to extend his range he’s not far from it. Maybe a year maybe two.

    Thoughts on him?

Now that I think about it, I am not sure the internet had made its way to my neck of the woods when I witnessed this. Even then, lo and behold children and grandchildren, there was a sinister force called dialup, and it would be years before you could stream games!
