Roy Oswalt still thinks about his former minor league teammate in Johan Santana and Freddy Garcia.

Elarton was a one season wonder... thought Wade Miller would play the McHugh role before McHugh
... and something about Redding that always rubber me the wrong way.

If that's the case, why is everybody complaining here?!?

I think they'd probably still win it all if you sub in Ragans (and he has the same success) in lieu of Chapman.... but then again, maybe they don't trade for Scherzer, maybe they don't trade for Montgomery (or maybe Ragans goes out and dominates everybody, including the Astros, and they actually win the division... vs skirting in as a wild card).

Elarton had his best arm strength/innings burned when Dierker turned him into an elite bridge guy and had him warming up or coming into a **** ton of games after his call-up... not how you treat a young arm that you have aspirations of being a TOR starter.

Yep, when I look back at my life there are things I wish I would have done differently. However if I changed one thing I would have to change everything and I've been truly blessed in my life.

I blame shell shock of pitching in Enron Field for its first season.

That rotation is crazy. I wonder if they are so good they dont go after Petite in a few years. Or if they do is that now.
    Clemens
    Petite
    Oswalt
    Santana
    Garcia

This will be a good test for dana brown as a talent evaluator. If he and Matthews are stars, we may have opened the window another decade....

Click was better at finding talent off other teams. Drafting and intl signings were a little weak...

Not a fan but imagine if we selected Jeter instead of Nevin in the 1992 draft... infield of Caminiti, Jeter, Biggio, and Bagwell for a generation. Then an outfield of roided out Gonzo and Finley

Bloss ran into the problem that would have been expected from looking at his minor league stats.
He doesn't have an out pitch. Has trouble putting guys away.

Curt Schilling, Kenny Lofton, Mike Hampton, Shane Reynolds, Jose Lima, Ken Caminitti (MVP) Luis Gonzalez ( MVP) Bobby Abreu, Carl Everett

Not listening to Hal Newhouser a Hall of Fame Pitcher to Draft Derek Jeter with the 1st Pick.

The Owner and Front Office were cheap and made too many mistakes in trades and Rule V.

But who's playing catcher?!?! Having Finley and Lofton in the OF prob meant you could have left field vacant...

I fear this... and won't be the same... even someone like Morgan Ensberg never fully recovered.
