Yeah but we know Sengun can't shoot & is basically only effective 2ft around the basket. Teams will expose this in the playoffs. At the minimum we get Ingram who can defend, create & score & hit his free throws. The Rockets needs to pull the trigger on this trade
This isn't true, more than half of his shots were outside 3 feet from the basket. A lot of those were his short midrange shot put buckets, but 12% of his shots were from 10-16 feet, which were mostly those little "flamingo" mid-range shots, and he hit those 51% of the time, which is a good percentage. His 3P volume also doubled compared to last season and I'm pretty confident both his percentange and shot volume will go up this upcoming season.
Depending on who drops to #3 of course and since this is a weaker draft, I would be okay with this. Dalton looks good on film, combine numbers and stats. Marcus becomes a top-flight defensive player for us and we likely make the playoffs, I mean he did win DPOY as a guard two seasons ago before the injury. You can always move pieces around as well so we're not married to these guys as our core either. Smart is only making around 20 million a year also for two years.
Did the Pelicans hear buzz about the Rockets possibly looking to trade Sengun? Idk, just seems like this rumor was out of nowhere. Interesting development.
I prefer Alpi over Zion. If the Rockets were to trade for Zion….. You think it would need to be with Sengun/Jalen/future picks going out. You would want to keep 3 to add Sheppard for Zion spacing IMO. Again, not personally a proponent.
I like Ingram next to Alpi BUT the “SG” has to be a lockdown defender. Brooks SnT to Sac for Monk (4 years 98m) #3+Jalen for Ingram and 2025 Lakers pick. Sengun/Adams Smith/Tari Ingram/Cam Amen/Monk FVV/Melton
Have to look somewhere else then. Alp and Jalen is way too much for Zion. Alp is arguably better right now than Zion
