A burger, fríes, nuggets and a drink is running you at least $25 at a “local shop”

Yeah, it's insane. Food prices are up everywhere, obviously, but yeah, I'm at a point where if I'm going to get gouged on a burger, I'd rather it be by some local burger place than put another fiver into some CEO's third yacht fund.

I go to in and out for my fast food fix.

Now it's fast casual lunches at old fine dining dinner entree prices.

I have no clue, the last time I ate McDonals was when I was around 12. I used to eat it pretty frequently as a kid, the happy meal burger was done in 2 bites, 3 if I was trying to savor it, so mom had to start buying 2 happy meals. I was a chubby kid.

I'm no nomic's xpert, certainly am not swedish professor either. Wasn't a gotcha I'm genuinely curious what you feel the main driver of the inflation was. Some say it was mostly the stimulus, some say it was mostly supply chains being messed up and the effects of shutdowns, some say ukraine war, some say a mix of everything, some say other things.

I see that inflation was a global phenomenon, but some places did fair a lot better like Japan/Switzerland, but even these places have been dealing with significant food and fuel inflation I believe.
